Riding Solo

While I am happy for Hamshire Fannett because you guys had a lot of good teams that never made the playoff's 05,06,07,& 08 to name a few. That being said it will be hard for you guys to beat HJ, they are heads above everyone else. ;D

At the junior high level 90 percent of the shots made are either lay-ups or right underneath the goal. Once you get to high school those lay-up are a little harder to come by. You have to learn to shoot from the outside. The only way to do that is to practice.

HJ is clearly the team to beat in 21 3A. If Buna beats Orangefield you can add another team that has not beat Orangefield in a real long time.

[/quote] Same with Vidor except maybe not that long. I think Marissa Wyatt is sorely missed. In the past someone has always picked up the slack. This years teams is missing that so far. But it is still early, the 08 team struggled at first with a new coach but ended up winning district. Anything can happen.

I agree Hill Guy, and lets not forget. There has been a on going battle between the local chapters and the UIL. Especially in football, I have seen a big drop off in quality officials at the lower classifications. I would also like to say that since I have been watching girls basketball which has been about 15 years, they let the girls play way to rough. IMO when they let kids play like that then you can throw defense out the window. It is really sad to watch sometimes.
