Laren Parker will be available soon. She is one of the best. Don't know if Holly Tanersly, or M. Verde have classes, but both are extremely good hitters and have probably the best swings in the game. Don't know about Holly, but Melissa was to have surgery on ACL at seasons end and is probably still re-habbing.

Lauren Parker is listed on the thread above, as well as others offering lessons.

18U Gold Southern Qualifier
JohnnyT60 replied to Lightning/Eagle's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The regionals that will take place in Fort Worth in July will be all Texas. They did expand the sectors and now call them territories. In the old sector that included Texas, Arizona, Colorado, etc... they took 4 teams and in the new territory being as large as it is they take 6 teams. Six last week in Auburn, Alabama and 6 more this week from Tomball (Dyess). Yeah, in the old days the sector might have a couple from Co. and Az. bu this year you brought Ga. into the mix and they have a few teams. Rgions haven't seemed to change much, so it will be all Texas. Looking at the gold page, it looks like 6 more teams will get berths and they will all be Texas teams. -
18U Gold Southern Qualifier

Sucking Up? After watching this OC lovefest all year!! lmao Austin Stixx lost their next game 3-0 to Davie. Stixx does have a pitcher committed to LSU though, heard Kuhn got a double on her. There were some awful good teams this year, changing the formula allowed more teams from out of state also! -

GeauxTigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah how bout the tigers!!!! Wish we could have played as well with the yellow ball!!! Geaux Tigers!!

Big Daddy, don't take this the wrong way. I still think if a kid does not have a team, or if there team is not playing anywhere this weekend, they would be crazy to pass up this opportunity to play at a tournament of that magnitude, and that is why they still play under the Dixon banner. Dixon has a spot in this tournament, and Henderson is taking it. Nothing wrong with that, and it has been done before, probably several times.
-
OK, I'll say it!! July 4th!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No doubt, and it's never too early!!! I think some kids may be committing in Jr. High these days!!! lol
-
The same reason the Texas Peppers played as the Texas Thunder one year.
-
Yes Ronn has retired (so he could follow Kiersten through College) and the only player returning from that team is Dani Barragan, I believe. Henderson(sorry don't know first name) took over the team, and I don't believe Ronn is involved at all.

Between the Big 3 going on in the greater Denver area, there is probably close to 180 teams, and talking to coaches last year, they did bounce back in forth on all three. Probably as big of a gathering of big time schools as Gold Nationals. These tournaments are the first time coaches can talk to these kids off campus this year. It was a really neat scene watching the coaches wait there turn to talk to the players.

He already is the toast of the town in Cincy. Saw several fans holding signs about him. One of the most celebrated rookies to hit the reds in years, and what a start!
-
Thanks, All four were really pretty good ballplayers, just wondering where they were. JT
-
So now we know where the focus is! ;D
-
Thanks Daughter played for Ronn last year, and I believe there were 4 younger players returning to the team and just was wondering where they were playing this year. Barragan Maples Luska Kapler I think....................
-
Is Sarah Maples playing for him?

Coach P is a great guy, will do a great job for you guys. -
MB, The problem with your original post was that in this line you act as if people from Houston don't make these comments. "My girls play mostly in the Houston area, and as a a matter of fact this was the first tournament we attended in SET in several years." Let me relate a story to ya. Several years ago we were playing in Nationals in Broken Arrow Ok. against the Texas Sting (a Houston Team) when my baby girl slid in home, breaking her ankle. Almost everyone of them cheered the fact that she had injured herself. Now that my friend is class. I did invite all of them to come down on the field and discuss it with me, but they declined. Now one could deduce that all folks from Houston are classless, and I could have went on some Houston forum and told them so, but I realized it was probably an isolated problem. No since painting the whole town with a broad brush. In fact we later played with some pretty good folks from that town. It is hard to believe your comments could be taken any other way than they were, the way they were intended.

Atleast I know mine is safe! ;D
