Shepherd played much sloppier against woodville than they did against kountze.
Could Woodville have caused some of that sloppiness?
Hmmm someone on this thread does use their head  ::) Woodville's chaotic and fast-paced defensive style caused this sloppiness seen by Shepherd.
Kountze is a heck of alot faster on d than woodville not bias just stating the fact
I do not agree. But also won't argue because that argument would go nowhere lol Woodville has plenty of speed, just know that.
respectfully agree to disagree sir
I thought that was very respectful?

Good try kville 68, but your thread title just didn't work.  On another note...I watched Jasper last week and they are quite an impressive team.  They are by no means polished and a jacked up Wildcat crew could give them problems.  I expect it to be a good battle between these 2 HWY 96 residents.
Kirbyville caused them turnovers and #32 was gasping for air after getting punished by the Wildcats defense...nice try Bruno994. How bout the the team in that district that has actually had a little success recently? Woodville. Lol Kountze has improved, but geeze.
isnt yalls big stud RB hurt still
As far as I know, yes. But im no coach or anything so I couldn't tell you for sure. But rest assured he'll come back top notch and in plenty of time for Kountze :)

Jasper seems to be on a roll and its gonna be tough defeating them in the Bone yard.
Tough?? No no no. Lol Cleveland was tough on Kville. Jasper will be more than tough at home. Especially after whooping up on Ofield like they did last week.
For the Cleveland game, Woodville will get blowed out by Kirbyville. Y'all struggled with Shepard and they are no where near our caliber.
And the opinion of a biased, uneducated, high school student who doesn't belong on this website means what to me? You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. You either dont get out much and watch football oustide of Kville or you play and have a false sense of hope in a mediocre team that will be average and nothing more this year. Newton will beat them, EC will beat them, Woodville has the talent to beat them decidingly as well, Anahuac can beat them, and Kountze will compete with them. If you think Kville is at some level that is any higher than any of the teams in this district, then you might as well get off this site because you will keep getting embarrassed. AND BTW *blown *nowhere *Shepherd
 7.
if this is the offensive line woodville goes into dist with we will not win a game. and the quarterback will not finish the season. how many timeouts did we waste. no push up front until 73 came in. middle of line has to change. defensive line much improved.  :'(
Whereas, I fully agree about the offensive line needing ALOT of improvement, idk that I'd go as far as to say not winning a game. Maybe I'm just too literal of a person. Lol but Woodville's coaching staff has their hands full. The center position has looked awful in the two games I've seen. Time for a change there. But, on a good note, the defensive line played very well.

 9.
Eagle, I don't recall saying Shepherd would beat Woodville. All I said was they were improved over last year. I never picked a winner. I have also said that cause they are improved doesn't mean that it turns into wins this year. I do believe they program is on the right track but that it will take a few years to see the true results. Eagle I never said that Shepherd was goign to beat Woodville, what I said was at the end of the game the folks from Woodville will agree that Shepherd is an improved team from last year. I seen Shepherd play, Kountze play and Woodville play last year. So I said that I would pick Kountze to beat Woodville. Nothing in my post said Shepherd would win. As for CSN I don't recall anyone from Shepherd talking, we were having a discussion about being improved. But I do agree that until they start winning nothing they say will matter to anyone outside of Shepherd.
That comment wasn't directed towards you.,sorry I wasn't clearer.
 10. Out of district 10-2A: DJ Dean, Newton Kevin Shorter, Newton Glenn Roberts, EC Marcus Harrison, Woodville
 11.
I'm going with Shepherd because of their impressive showing against Kountze, especially after a year as bad as the last. Good luck to both teams. It should be a good game.
I agree with Idk 100%. But you, please tell me how if Kountze beat Shepherd and Woodville shutout Kountze last year, that it shows that Shepherd will beat Woodville. I do agree both of those teams are improved, but so is Woodville. And on the note of the fish QB...if he keeps his head on straight, he will be phenomenal by his senior year. Kid threw a 60 yard TD pass against us his eighth grade year lol that's crazy.
 12.
I agree except for Burkville, they have athletes over there.  ;)
And Kville is gonna win state, huh?  ::)
 13. Dont misunderstand me either. I think the new coach down there will turn that program around. But the talent has not been developed yet. Once it is, I believe Shepherd will be much much improved. But it must be developed over time. Not simply one offseason.
 14.
Eagle, Really? The Coaching, are you aware that Shepherd has a new coaching staff this year? I saw the Woodville vs Shepherd game last year. Last year was last year. I do agree that predictions are opinions and I would not expect you to say Shepherd would beat Woodville. OH and if Woodville was to play Kountze I would have to take Kountze in that one.
Yes, I am fully aware. And new is the key word. You expect a team to be that improved this early into a new coaching staff? Dont get your hopes up. And of course you would take Kountze in that one, having not seen Woodville play and having your team get beat by them last week. lol
 15.
It was just a scrimmage and yes Shepherd did better than New Waverly (7-2). I was trying to make a point to Eagle that Shepherd is much improved. I wouldn't judge them off of just the first game. Cause from what I seen Kountze was much improved from last year also.
Thats a matter of opinion. Im sure someone that supported NW would say the exact opposite. Like I said, if you base your decision off of what I threw out there in my last post, you have to go with Woodville. But thats not 100% me saying they absolutely will win...no. But I will definitely say would has the edge coming into this one and I believe they will win it, and possibly blow it wide open. On another note, I heard that Kntz was improved also. How were they improved over last year's squad??

 17.
Didn't Woodville just loose to New Waverly?  I would say Shepherd is much improved over last year. If you had watched them any last year, you would say they are much improved. I think Shepherd played New Waverly in a scrimmage this year also.
Yes. And I saw Woodville beat Shepherd and shut-out Kountze last year. Based on recent history, the talent Shepherd has, the talent Woodville has, the coaching on both sides, and the quality of opponent that each team lost to last week, id have to say Woodville handle's them pretty easily. But, I could be wrong. Anything can happen. Predictions are opinions and opinions only.
 18. Woodville, 41-14. Shepherd hasnt improved much since last year, and I believe Woodville has.
 19.
Warren has a new attitude but Evadale is not what the usually are. So beating them is no big deal. Warren better look out next game.
Against Burkeville?? Please explain why they should be more concerned with Burkeville..??
 20. 67 yars run by Lockhart, 2 point try good. 14-7 Woodville. 9:52 left in the 3rd.
 21. On another note, why didn't they find some 5A competition to play in the opener at Provost-Umphrey??
 22. 7pm @ Eagle Stadium in Woodville. My personal prediction is: Woodville 35 New Waverly 19
