Varsity coach last year plus was the Varsity coach at Lumberton a few years back.
Here is the problem now where does this stop. Does this start a trickle down effect through the JV and Freshman teams. This is a serious problem that no matter who is at fault the coach's or the kids how do you fix it. I see alot of the problems being so many of these young men take private lessons from area Hitting and Pitching Instructors and the coach doesnt like something the young man is doing in his mechanics and alot of the high school coach's have animosity towards the instructors because it shows their flaws as a coach to not be able to teach the game like he should be able to. And for a dad who has kids coming up in years to come it concerns me. And in most high school Baseball coach's posistions you have football coach's trying to coach as assistants not Baseball guys. Thats why practices get bad they are extremely limited in what they can teach. Thats why kids goof of and feel like they do because when they go to their Professional Instructors its about them learning new ideas and approach's to the game. Thats why i made the statement i made in my previous comment if you dont go out and get the best BASEBALL coach you can this is where your gonna end up.

Ask any high school player, be it football, softball, basketball, track if they want  to win or just have fun?
Some coaches know how to win AND make it fun.  That is when you know you have a real keeper.
This is what happens when you bring Jr. High coach's up to the High school level to coach Varsity Baseball at one of the Premier Baseball schools for the past 25 years or more. I think the decision to bring a coach from within hurt this team and the school board should have had this job open to find the best coach they could have to keep the tradition going at PNG. Why does football only get the opprotunity to field the best coaching staff. It should be that way for all the sports not just Football. I hope the best for the team and the coach's to get it together and find a way to be successful this year but with such adversity as this it will be difficult to do.Good luck the rest of the year .
Because the 20-4a District MVP and Offensive MVP is the second team QB's, and the 21-3a Offensive MVP QB is the second team utility player. He is a little behind all three of these players Here is your answer   Reyes-2174 yards passing 19 touchdowns,,, 453 yards rushing 7 td's *includes playoffs Gonzales-2381 yards passing 21 td's,,,,597 yards rushing 11 td's Doty- 2830 yards passing 29 td's * includes playoffs [ b]Menard- 1390 passing 15 td's,,,,,,1006 rushing 17 td's * includes playoffs Jones- 1431 yards passing 13 td's,,,,,842 yards rushing 12 td's * includes playoffs Great Kid, and he had a great year, but so did other QB's. He is behind in the Stats. But trust me I'm sure he will not let this stop him from having a great future
I think Reyes had a really good year this year but to have put him above Doty and Gonzales i didnt understand. These 2 were by far the best 2 QB in the area. And if Lamar is looking for a Qb these 2 young men would have been a great place to start. Add FORD and some lineman to the already exisiting players u had on the Off and Lamar would be a force to be reconded with for years to come.
You need to look at Silsbee's QB stats. You would take that comment back.
I think when they make these picks alot more than just stats come into play. The strength of a teams schedule is the major determining factor. Who they put these stats up against is huge and thats why i said what i said that Doty and Gonzales were more deserving of the award than others. Doty's stats were against 8 playoff teams out of the 13 they played. And Reyes schedule was jsut as tough no doubt.

You  must be one great person to be +1000. LOL
+1 for you. I try  :D and he's only a JR? 20-4A better be ready next yr
Not worried.  No all district QB taking the pressure off the running game..  Just tackle anyone comming out the backfield!   ;D ;D
Miller PNG's starting QB next year will bring a whole new demintion to PNG Offense. He can PASS and RUN and trust me he can throw very well. Our question mark for next year on Offense will be our line not our QB. If our line developes look out because we have some serious weapons at the skilled posistion coming back next year.

 6. Just curious to know how many players will get a chance to play at the next level and if so where.

 8.
Last time I checked there where 11 positions on offense and 11 on defense, that's the # of 1st team and 2nd team players there should be, having 23 1st team offensive people is rediculous. I also think once you've been chosen to a spot that should be it and consider other players for the other spots. Sonnier from Nederland was easily the MVP of the district and not 1st team WR, that's meant as a compliment to Trevin not a gripe, has was the most valuable player in the district, Gonzales should have been 1st team QB. As for Nelson from PNG, the stats don't lie, he should have been 1st team, I just don't think we need 5 WR's on 1st team, 2 or 3 at the most, I think it takes away from what the better players did when you water it down this much, might as well give out participation ribbons like the elementary track meets do. Coach of the year was debatable, Coach Crouch was deserving as where 2 or 3 others, I think it shows the respect the other coaches have for Coach Crouch that he was chosen, even though he didn't make the playoffs he did an outstanding job.
What i think this list shows is there are coaches in our district that cant recognize talent when its right before their eyes THATS WHY THEY FINISH WHERE THEY DO YR END AND YR OUT. All i do know is look out the INDIANS are returning the top WR ,TOP RUNNING BACK, AND BEST COACH IN THE DISTRICT HANDS DOWN. CANT WAIT FOR THE PLAYOFFS TO START AGAIN. GO INDIANS
 9.
Manvel in a romp.
Are you serious in our 4 losses it was by a combined total of 17 points. We have been in every ball game this year not once have we played in a game that if we make 1 stop our pickup 6 inches for a 1st down that we couldnt have won. This team could very easily be 12-0 this year. We dont and never will have the team speed everyone else has but our kids play to their abilities and our coaches out coach everyone we play. From what i have seen on Manvel and talking to people that have seen them play they are a very good team very well coached and will be our toughest game of the year to this point for sure. PNG 35 MANVEL 31
 10.
BTW my prediction is.. PNG 45 Manvel 28 Manvel is overrated now...their local newspaper picked em dead last in their district a few weeks before the season kicked off..i'd say they are somewhere in the middle of that and all the hype now. I can tell ya this..no matter what the outcome, they have a BATTLE on their hands cause the hometown boys are all business!!! Manvel better not show up thinking they got this one licked before it starts cause they will get shocked and sent home wondering what just happened. They better show up to play their A game. Scalp Em INDIANS!!!!
I couldnt agree more. I have seen Manvel on film and they have no where near the overall team speed in which Willis had so our Def in my opinion will have a much better game this week. And the blitzs need to come from the DB's that are covering the slot recievers not our LB's that are to slow to get to the QB.
 11.
The winner of this game will face B. Royal/Athens winner.  Friday Dec. 3rd, 7:30pm @ Sam Houston State's Bowers Stadium in Huntsville.
Where did you hear of this game time. I have a brother on the Kirbyville staff that says he hasnt been told a time or place for next weeks game yet.
 12. Why doesnt our DEF ever blitz. When it only takes for us 1 to 2 stops a game for us to win football games you would think we would bring an all out blitz from time to time instead of making our DB's try and cover their man for like 7 to 8 seconds. I do understand the bend but dont break philosiphy but we need to start taking some chances with a blitz from time to time.

You know what?  This Indian Nation have shown sooo much support this last weekend by showing up in mass numbers to root my Jags on.  One of which, became an official Jag fan for a day.  Sat next to me, wore a Central hat (which I've provided...  ;D ;D ) and a Maroon jacket.  I appreciate that.  So It will be so hard for me to root against this team.  My mind is telling me that PN-G will have a war on their hands just like this weekend and will lose.  My heart is telling me that the Indians will gut it out and get the 'W', by any means neccessary.  I don't care how much of a fool others may think I am, I'm rolling with the Indians all the way.  42-36 Indians.
Thanks, BMTSoulja1! We were the two older PNG fans (wearing purple) sitting amidst your fans and yelling like crazy for Central! People were nice and supportive and appreciative of our support.  We appreciate your support also.  20-4A all the way is our logo!! lol PNG will win! Manvel doesn't scare us.
