1. Wow. In the smaller divisions do they even look at records and who is playing who, or do they just vote blindly?
 2.

Let's not forget that this forum is read by the players too, and that they are just kids (not paid professionals) who work hard, do their best, and have feelings.
I agree to a point.  But at the high school level you play your best players who get the job done. This isn't Little Dribblers where coaches try and keep players together, or is it?
I'm just saying supportive is better.  A less public forum might be a better place to critique 1 or 2 specific players. Remember they're teenagers.

 4. Well it was a close game, back and forth until the tech in the last 2 minutes, but in the end Bangs won 57-64.  Maybe Dodd City or Nazareth will take them out.
 5. A ranked 2A in the tiny school division instead of going in the mid division with all the other 2A and 3A schools. An unfortunate first round draw for Leggett.

 7. With aau teams starting at 10 and up, yes they start looking at them young. So much so that NCAA has extended recruiting rules to include junior high kids. And YES, there ARE rankings at that age.  Do the kids live up to them 4 years later? Who knows? But if kids are playing, and people are watching, someone is ranking. lol
 8. If your kid is happy at school and doing well academically, stay there. Basketball season can get frustrating but even if your son is the next Michael Jordan, what happens on his school team means nothing. If you think he won't get recruited because of his school team you are wrong. No one gets recruited based on their high school team anymore, unless you get to Austin. Choose your child's school based on academic excellence, crime rate, prevalence of drugs, etc.  If he's a talented athlete, in any sport, get him on a "club" or "select" team in a metropolitan area.  Recruiting is done in the high school off season now. Enjoy high school basketball for what it is.
 9. And a shot clock would help the team that is behind by preventing the leader from playing "stall ball". Would probably reduce bench minutes too if your starters deal with a clock better than your bench.
