  1. I digress. Craig Stump took over in 2005, and what do you know, they made the playoffs for the first time since 1997, and went three rounds deep. The coach makes all the difference. Chuck Langston is a lame duck coach.
  2. Dont count your chickens. WB isnt that good. Nederland will be ok. Brook just got lucky.
  3. Yes, it was. Robert McGrue had nearly 2000 yards rushing that year, and only a handful of fumbles. It was a missed opportunity. Because, WB was going to get into FG range, and win that game 37-35. But, it wasnt in the cards.
  4. That would be the Chuck Langston era. Since he has been at the helm, 2020, they have failed to make the playoffs. Sad since we're only 8 years removed from a 6A state title appearance. Talent wasted.
  5. Well, the spread was WB by 2. So, I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day. SMDH
  6. The reason those Al Rabb teams sucked so bad, was because your boy Carroll Thomas wanted neighborhood schools, again, and all those kids (talent) from the Pear Orchard stayed over there, and left the no talent kids from the West End to hold down the fort.....which failed miserably. When Ozen went went away in 2005, low and behold, West Brook was back in the game, with Craig Stump.
  7. Translation. They're OK with mediocrity. Thats too much talent wasted on an inept coach. He might have been a D1 talent in high school, but he isn't a D1 coach. He isnt even Lamar worthy. Facts.
  8. They've got to start with Chuck Langston. He hasnt had a playoff team since he's been at the helm, which was 2020. This is almost as bad as the AL Rabb coached Bruins in the late 90s. The talent is there. It always has been. He needs to go!
  9. Clearly, West Brook is still lacking in the coaching department. Has been since 2020.
