1. Here is what I think will be the keys for Silsbee pulling the upset over Hardin Jefferson. 1. Win the turnover battle. 2. Rebound the BALL! Limit HJ on second chance points 3. Must draw fouls and knock down free throws (60 percent and up) 4. Shoot less 3 pointers and drive the ball 5. Let Bosha shot all the 3 pointers he wants from 25 feet 6. Make this game into a track meet all 4 quarters 7. Keep Lazeek and SteveNash out the GYM!

Very hard fought close game. Cleveland could have gone to state that year if they didn't have to play Lincoln in the 1st round.
Cleveland was the runner up. At that time only 2 teams went to the playoffs. Lincoln 20-4A Champ vs Cleveland 19-4A runner up. Cleveland lost to Lincoln by 4 and Lincoln went on to beat Silsbee at Lamar that year. Cleveland was ranked 8, Silsbee 9, Lincoln 2 behind the team they beat in Austin Anderson High. Austin Anderson had 2 McDonald All Americans in Kris Klack and William Springfellow. Hmmm- if Silsbee won the district playoff and hence, became district champs, how could it have been Cleveland(district runnerup) who could have gone to state?  Wouldn't that honor have fallen to Silsbee since they won the game? 4. I'm a little younger than Aggie but PA Lincon/ Silsbee were very very intense as well. When they both were in 23-4A and only two teams went to the playoffs, it was always these two. I remember the 1996 Playoff 1st Round game at Lamar where a very young Silsbee team came back from being 14 down in the 4th to beat Lincoln by 7. A little revenge from the year before.
 5. Would it be smart to open the gym to the public at 4pm?
 6. I'd like to recall my other favorite memory was last year when Silsbee came from behind by 6 to start the 4th quarter and won. That was a very intense game and hard played by both teams.

 8. I think HJ has more overall talent than Silsbee this year. Prickling, Bosha, and Johnson are allstate players. Silsbee us just too small and I have HJ winning game 1 by 11.
 9. 2008 Silsbee beat HJ by 12 to go to state for the 1st time in forever.
 10. Fantastic win! Region 3 is going to be crazy come playoff time.

Silsbee,s schedule is harder than any team in the Golden Triangle.
Disagree with part of your statement!!!
What part and why?
 13. No where playa. Tigers should win by 10.
