1. Man! Jasper gets sacked then can't move the ball, punts from the 10 and Kville takes over on the bulldog 20.
2. Kirbyville recieved the kick. Moved the ball steadily down to the 15 but turned it over on downs.
3.
where did that kicker come from??  :o
Whole big family of soccer players Buddy. The youngest is only about 6. We might have a family dynasty of kickers coming through.
4. I wanted to start a thread about how the team looks so far and see what others think. Please dont start posting stupid crap about "how dem catz guna beet dat az"! I personally have had about my fill of that already this year. Also if your not a Kirbyville fan....Fine. There are so many great teams in the area to support (including yours) just go discuss them on one of thier threads or start a new one. Everytime a thread gets started the idiots take over and very little real discussion takes place. Lets see how this goes. Coach Washington. What do you think? I like a coach that gets fired up! Its good to see Henson doing so well at QB. He has a couple of recievers making big catches and he seems to be improving every week. It could make a big difference for us. I would like to see them move Sexton to the backfield. Everytime he touches the ball things seem to happen. He fights for every yard. I could be wrong but I dont remember him ever being hurt and I think we have to have someone who is 100% in that spot. Maybe if their were improvements in the front line Jacko would nt get knocked around so much. AND  We have a kicker! Way to go Youth Soccer.
5. I have to give props to Buna's #32. He doesn't look like a back. Runs the ball like a bull though. Heck of a player.
6.

I hear depth is a big problem for kirbyville
No, young players
It depends on what position(s) your talking about. Backfield is always stacked. Linebacker may be not so much.
7.
So Kirbyville mainly played freshman and sophomores during the live play? So that's why it was so close
They played a lot of starters on offense although that lefty QB got a lot of playing time. I guess they were feeling out defensive players. Not knocking Huntington. They look better than in the past and I can't say they had their beat in all the time either. They may have been doing the same.
8. I was at the game and follow the team close so I can tell you this for a fact.  Kirbyville defense looked great during the scrimmage. During the live play, where everyone felt the cats fell apart and Huntington  got the momentum. Kirbyville had 3, 4 or more freshman and sophomores on the field and they did a pretty good job. Kirbyville always pulls all of the talent off of Jv. They had sexton at safety part of the time but for the most part it was what a scrimage is suppossed to be. So don't read a lot into it either way.
9. Touchdown Jacko.  That's still 2 TDs per possession for the cats. Huntington 0
10. The Cats scores 2 times each possession. Huntington has last possession now. No score so far.
11. I went watch the Cats practice yesterday. No matter what anyone says they have the tools to get the job done.
12. I'd like to see Henson and Haywood both taking snaps to see who can carry the mail. Jacko and Sexton in the backfield athough I cant imagine Breed not being a threat running the ball. And not to start the pervebial "second guessing the coaches" debate...... Can we please TRY throwing a few short passes? There is no rule that I am aware of about passes under 30 yards! LOL
13. A few players had some medical conditions taken care of over the summer. How those wounds heal could make a big difference. They have a few good choices for the backfield. Should be interesting. ;D
14. I am eager to see how the QB position works out myself.
15. Since we all know we have plenty of wildcat fans that will argue with a fence post when they feel they are right. ( I resemble that remark). I thought I would start a new thread with a positive theme. We have plenty of starters comming back. Some good quality in key positions and a general good feeling about this years team. What do you think?
