1. GREAT JOB TO ALL THE KIDS FROM ALL THE SCHOOLS THANK ALL OF YOU FOR A WONDERFUL YEAR. Sorry about all of the Caps but These kids need to be APPLAUDED!!!!!!!!!!!!
 2. The kids that play VB are very very very well conditioned. My daughter plays for Silsbee and Tiger11 is correct she is put through mini boot camps so to speak on a very regular basis. What people that don't think that VB is not a run conditioned sport need to do is to join in on a practice and you would be breathing very funny by the end of practice if you make it, hard but true, I'm sure any VB Coach in the area will gladly let you or ya'll participate but beware you'll probably get laughed at. She also lifts weights to improve strength and leaping ability. From what I hear most kids that are looked at by D1 schools have the ability to leap 10', how high is a BB goal? This summer she'll continue her conditioning through camps and health club activities. And the thing about laughing when a mistake is made instead of getting mad is like I guess War , if you get mad during war you get Dead because getting mad usually inhibits another mistake correct. If they get mad then nobody can tell them anything. I use to watch FB without reservation but now I enjoy VB and make FB when I can and I believe this to be true even after she Graduates, but I hope I'm going to higher level games.
 3. I agree with volleyballer, the conditioning that these kids go through is one of the toughest I've seen. Yes , I played football , basketball , baseball and ran track so I do know a little about the conditioning that the guys go through before anybody says I don't. These kids on Volleyball teams have to have superb reaction times and they have to be in great shape to do so physically and mentally. Front row players not only have to be strong but have the ability to leap , back row players have to be strong and have the ability to hit the floor and pop back up like a cork after they make the play. All of this being done while thinking of where the ball might be when it comes back at them so they can react to that,no timing patterns,no practiced plays(so to speak), just reaction to the action with the ability to make something out of it.
 4. I completely agree that we have a good sized group of very talented girls here and would like to see it myself.
 5.
end of 3rd Silsbee JV    60 BC  JV         19 Silsbee outscored BC 34-6 in that quarter!
:o
 6.
Ok, so who will be the 3 teams that go?
I believe that any of the front 4 will go. This really depends on how many off nights each team has and thier ability to recover from them. And yes, every well coached team will be just fine.
 7.
Or maybe I'm not biased to any particular school and I see it how it is. You cannot honestly look at the top 4 teams and think it makes any since for Silsbee to be better than BC and OF next year. They weren't better than them this year and both teams return every starter and roll player except one. Silsbee loses three starters. Now...imo Janci (I think that's what you all said her name was) should have been starting instead of coming off the bench. However, I didn't see all of Silsbee's games but she was a lot more consistent than both outside hitters and one of the middles in the games I watched. Herself and Chelsea will be very good next year. But they have holes to fill just like other teams...but they have more holes than OF and BC. I know...I don't know volleyball according to you Silsbee people but you and the bleacher parents probably don't know the difference between a 6-2 and a 5-1 offense. Or the difference in a perimeter, rotational, or a combo of the defenses. Probably don't know what a shot set is or a 4,3,2,1,5 or slides or an A,B,C, or J. And you are the most disrespectful moderator on this site (if it's possible for you people to get fired...you should). You Silsbee people are all about Silsbee and I'm glad you back your school. But let's face it...most of you don't truly know volleyball. I made a life and living out of volleyball. I think I know the sport a little better than you. I'm sorry that you all got so upset because I didn't pick your beloved Silsbee to make the playoffs. It's my opinion. You three people that have attacked me, for no reason as far as I'm concerned, please tell me something about HF, OF, and BC that shows some volleyball intelligence. Tell me something about their players and who they have returning and how they are going to fill their holes and how Silsbee is going to pass up the three teams that were in front of them this year. Give me some insight since I know nothing and you all know everything.
Rizon, first off I wasn't attacking you or your intelligence!!!! I was just trying to make a point , statistics are just a way of making an educated guess and that nothing from these are set in stone period. Example , statistically speaking the way that I had my 401K divied up I was very safe but instead I got my behind handed to me big time you hear me! Might have to work a few years extra DANG IT. You can never say the one that were there last year will be this year since underdogs have the greatest advantage because they have nothing to loose , sports or anything else. And if I remember correctly at several games WE PEOPLE were cheering for all of the kids not just ours! And yes we do know about VB because like other parents we spend thousands of dollars every year for our kids to get a leg up , camps , weight training , select , and everything else in between. We at work support each others kids like they were our own. Oh Yea I work with people from: BC,OF,LCM,WOS,Jasper,D'ville,M,ville,Vidor,Buna,Evadaleand K'ville so therefore its very hard for any of us to be biased towards any one. And yes, like any good parent,(I hope), I will always support my kids! With this being said please accept my apologies I was just poking some fun, thought you were a better sport. LATER
 8.

Silsbee has their basketball legs under them now so they win the rematch by 8.Let's face it folks if The Silsbee,Kountze and HJ clubs want tough competition on the tourney trail they would have to travel or play each other.Look at it from the other teams perspective it helps the clubs like Woodville,EC and San Augustine to see what the playoff competition will look like.
I'm going to the boat after this prediction.
Good one  ;)
 9.
They are playing music during the high school game? Doubt they will get any other teams to come in that place. I told Travis about the $13 a ticket deal, he said no thank you. ;)
Sounds like all of everybody at Ford park should have saved $10 and watched the best game of the day Westbrook vs. Silsbee  :D
 10.
Definately pulling for DC shoudn't need him til HJ but would miss him deeply except for PA if played. As for now I am in New Orleans eating sushi about to walk over to the Rockets/Hornets game free 5th row tickets. Should be great.
Beating Westbrook was a good win before district I dont really care if Silsbee beats PAM cause realisticly without DC they might not get the W but I could be wrong cause they beat Westbrook without him I just want Silsbee to be healthy before the HJ game so they can pour it on them  ;D
 11.

I wasn't comparing them to Kountze.I was just talking about ways to give them trouble.I wasn't taking anything away from them because they went to the drum the last 2 seasons.I believe it was Sabine that slowed the ball down and played them pretty close last year.FYI Kountze doesn't look like the club they were last year so don't put to much in to the 0-4 record over the last 2 seasons. From my observations over the past 4 or 5 years Kountze and New Waverly like to play the same type game. This year I think Kountze will win that matchup.Neither club will want to play a team that sloandws the ball down and handles the pressure well.
Well I was there and it was actually Nw that held the ball the whole 3 quater.  They then did what you say running teams can't do and that's run a delay game for six minutes.  If you have ever seen them play, they do it quite often.  They can run and then put on the brakes, did it all the way through district and most of the 4th quater against Kountze last year.  They also kept Silsbee and HJ under 50 does that say anything.
Silsbee defeated New Waverly 55-45. ;)
:o :o :o :o :o
 12.
Big win for Silsbee. That was a gutcheck win for the Tigers having to play the second half without DC. Let's hope Stallworth's injury is not too severe.
Even if his injury is not severe I hope they go easy on him until the HJ game  ;)
 13.
Come on people be realistic WB and PAM both will win by 20
::) I hope you where at the game  ;D
 14.
Folks don't get so upset. You need to know that Rizon doesn't know anything about volleyball and who is good or not good. The person is clueless. Rizon is just taking wild guesses.
I agree with you AggiesAreWe. Let's make this simple for Rizon. He can call any coach in 21-3A and ask if they think that Silsbee has a shot next year and everyone will tell him OH HECK YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anytime that you take somebody out of thier comfort zone , especially kids , crazy things will happen different coaching techniques and ways of doing things etc.. Coach Leach has her own team this year and they know exactly what to expect and do since she had them since the 8th and 9th grades. If I remember correctly a couple of years ago when she was the Freshman coach we didn't look back and those kids are the ones she'll have in 2010.
 15. Yes Silsbee had growing pains this year! I believe that the team has grown and gotten stronger because of it! Coach Leach was having to fill some mighty big shoes in Coach Thornton , we all knew this from the get go. Now that the initial butterflies and worry are gone I truly believe Silsbee is going to be tough to beat next year from any stand point. It looks like Chelsea and Janci feed off of each other as they are always seen together at the Health Club , Strength Training , etc.. They will have one heck-of-a-setter in Kolby. Silsbee will make waves that some people don't believe they can.
