This will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. 1st and 2nd shouldn't have any problems in the first round but what lies beyond that does. With saying that EB didn't have their best two girls at the EC tourney neither so who knows how they are now? Not knocking the 3rd and 4th place down because this year these standings could be reversed in the Top 4. Kountze has added T. Williams to the bench with that full court press and has turned that team around completely.(They've beat the Top 3 in second rd play) Buna/Hardin who ever loses tonight can't be overlooked neither. Look forward to this District in the playoffs making a strong appearence this year!! Good Luck to all our Teams!!!!

Last year after my annual check up, I was called back for more blood work. I went in and they said something was wrong with my kidneys and them functioning. After the blood work they asked me if I had been working out more than I use to. And yes I had. Started a crossfit workout program twice a week. They reminded me to stay hydrated. Guess I'm lucky that I do stay hydrated and then during the work outs would take a moment to drink water and catch my breath before starting the next rotation. The bad thing about this incident at HF, was after Christmas break and we all know the diets and water are out the door. I agree with making kids miss games and with exercise punishment. But todays society is so different when we all grew up and was punished by our coaches and then punished when we got home!! We were all told to "tough it out, you shouldn't have done that anyway!" I hope the kids recoop and everybody learns a lesson.

Ashame after they played as a TEAM against EC!!! But I salute Coach Joubert for disciplining his kids because there is more to life than just basketball or sports in general.

Your exactly right!! This tourney this year was great! All gold and silver semi and championship games were good games! Looking back at last year, four of eight teams made State!!

Excellent point. I was talking to someone and them saying Ned was beat by a 2A!!!! Heck look at Silsbee with all the young kids playing and still beating respectful upper classification teams. Big Sandy, Silsbee play above their respective classifications and can play with alot of teams. That's why both should be in San Antonio come March because of the stiff competition they play in non-district games that prepares them for District and playoffs.

I could see EC and Kountze splitting thier games.  When will or does Kountze now have all their players back.  I know Progress Reports came out last week and think this will be a big factor for them!  I still see them in the playoffs either way as #1 or #2 1. ST413 bet they keep it quiet!!!!  bball2011 he came from Tyler Chappell Hill and had been Kountze's girls coach before also!!!! I understand the parents but the guy knows basketball, hate to see it for the kids, they were a well improved team and IMO think this was the year they had a chance at the playoffs.  Lot of talent and good coach.  That's what happens when you bring in a real coach with no ties to the community.  Yes he yelled and screamed but they were competitive.  I know they beat Kountze(with several out because of grades) but like DOVE says it was a win against Kountze and then you take their coach away from them after a great win for the team.  Hard too swallow for young men who probably don't understand what's going on anyway, as you can see by the results after his removal.  Just hope the kids can bounce back stay competitive.

HOW BOUT A HUGE SHOUT TO GLENN ROBERTS!!!  Glenn was battling a virus since Thursday.  But when he needed to step up, he was there.  I've never seen him come out the came on his own and it happened last night.  I salute him for his efforts last night and he continues to amaze me when he's not even close to 100%!!!!  Go BUCS!!!
