Vidor has no idea what they are facing this week in Summer Creek.  Yes- they are that good.  Also, why would you compare Vidor to a team from years ago- couldnt we all do that?  Dayton as good as the '08 team, BHill as good as the '09 team, Crosby as good as the '55 team that won state....in other words, keep nostalgia in the past- football is so different nowadays it is really hard to compare.

where is montana quirante going to college?

Anybody know anything about that district...Manor, Elgin and so forth?  I know Manor has been down in football until the last couple of years.  Give some info if you have any

I agree about Stallworth- it should be used more.  If it can host the BAYOU BOWL between two states featuring the very best...it certainly can host 2 average teams in the playoffs.  It should definitely be used as a neutral site for 19-4A and 20-4A IMO

This is a big game for Crosby- not to the fact that they should win- I think we all agree they should win, but how they have came out very flat against CE King and Kingwood Park.  Tonight needs to be a game to get things right again offensively and roll into the playoffs.  It starts with the running game of Austin Walter and steady defense. If the Coogs come out flat once again tonight, then a very favorable playoff bracket looks tougher.

Crosby 8th A is undefeated and 1st in district alone, and 7th grade is undefeated in 1st place as well.  Both teams are loaded with talent and could make run when they get older.

i will attend this one.  Crosby has to start fast and pick up the tempo offensively- if Crosby can score quickly to take the wind out of the sails of KP- then it should be all over.  If KP can hang around, then it could become a game

HOw is Livingston popping off so much- what have they done lately?  Crosby has at least made the playoffs, went two rounds deep or better in 3 out of 4 years.  Vidor had its glory moment last year and won the game, but why does there have to be so much negativity.  Trash talk or not, no need to constantly bash when you havent been to the dance very often

there is a +18 point spread for 3 way ties or even 4 way ties...so they will use head to head scores with 18 being the most(either way-win or loss) as the spread and go from there.  The team closest to 0 or on the + side will advance.

Crosby should be able to beat KP based on the scores from other games, but that is why you play the game...Thursday night @ Turner- will be a big game for both teams

compared to last year's 19-4A the top 4 are definitely stronger and will make a better showing in the playoffs- but the bottom feeders are way worse than last year's teams. I for one didnt think Humble would be this bad.

Homecoming game for the Coogs and it will be introducing its Giant Jumbotron Scoreboard.  King is not as bad as some might think and they have athletes to match Crosby- however I think King makes too many mental mistakes and Crosby wins this 42-20

Never understood why the Triangle HAS TO HAVE 8 teams...they should leave them at 7, then have Humble, Porter, New Caney, Livingston, Splendora, Kingwood Park make district 20-4A

Things seem to be a little muddled up at the moment, but how are things looking as far as playoff matchups? 19-4A Summer Creek/Dayton 4-0 BHill 3-1 Crosby 2-2 King 1-3 Kingwood Park 1-3 Humble/Porter/NCaney 0-4 I know there are some bye weeks so some teams are only 3 games into district....how is it looking East of the Trinity?

Some teams just match up well and play well against certain teams and that is what Channelview does to PAM...one thing I dont understand is why the View continues to be average to below average every year.  There is way too much talent roaming the hallways there that never get into a football uniform.  Coach Hurts is a CV grad like myself, and he wants the best for Channelview, but it has been too long since Channelview has been respectable.  Last playoff appearance was 1994...sad

Thanks 7Mary3, well said.  Getting back on topic, this is going to be a difficult week for Crosby but not underestimating them playing at home so the score should be close.  Summer Creek is extremely  fast and they may be the best team in district. Their game vs. Dayton would definitley be one worth paying the price of admission to see.

If Anahuac can just hold steady and give Coach Murr a chance, he will get things right again.  Injuries are a part of the game and they are struggling right now, but the future will be bright.
