Everyone who  is a Raines doubter, you are looking at one game.. Prior to this game, Carson has been money.. I have seen him connect with receivers in stride way down field and put the ball where it needed to be. He is a very good quarterback. Remember, he was coming into this game after their bye week. And in the game before that he got decked into the concrete by Barbers Hill and got a concussion. These arent excuses, just facts. He was a little rusty this game for those reasons. He will be fine. By the way, I dont buy the whole argument of not being used to the crown. He did just fine at the home opener. Just a little nerves and rust is all. The coaches are around these two quarterback every day. Trust me, if they thought Woods was a better quarterback to handle the Nederland offense at this time, then they would start him.

This will be another one for the ages... My prediction? Ogreziak hits a 42 yard field goal to win 31-30 DOGS!

Nederlands running game is looking explosive tonight. Not sure if nederland has stepped up on the running game or if vidors run defense is slacking..

I have to concede that I haven't seen vidor play so the defense may have improved tremendously.. I hope that both teams come out of this healthy and its a clean game..

Ok I gave the BH defense all the credit in the world. Two points though before you make yourself sound more ignorant. One, as far as I'm concerned, we put up 14. But the blue and white zebra somehow said our guy pushed off.. That's kinda hard to do when you're making a diving touchdown catch. It shouldve been defensive p.o. since the defender cut off the receivers route. Anybody with a lick of sense about football can look at that play and know it. I also said what I said assuming BH had players with class who didn't take cheap shots after the play. I was wrong for assuming that. We lost our starter.. If we hadn't, we may have put up more points..

Ill be the first to say we got outcoached and outplayed last night. It shouldn't have come down to the bogus OT penalty.. He shouldve been lined up in the middle of the field for the game winning kick. So no I'm not upset about that. I played football from about 6 years old until college. I know every emotion involved. I hit people on the field. I didn't have to take cheap shots several steps out of bounds.. I knew how to tackle on the field or use the sideline as an extra man.. I will never respect or make excuses for someone who tries to take another player out of the game on a cheap shot out of bounds from behind..

Ned - 31 Vidor - 7... If Raines is back.. Ned - 17 Vidor - 7... Without Raines No disrespect to the backup. He performed about as well as you can ask against BH. [/quote] The play was already made when Raines stepped out of bounds. What play was there to be made? There are plenty of hard nosed players on all levels but you don't see that happen every day. You see late hits now and then when the players is maybe one step out of bounds or something. And if you're gonna do that, why in the hell do it in front of 50 of his teammates. He's lucky he got out of there unhurt. But like I said, make excuses for the kid all you want, but there was no play to be made. It was a chance to take a cheap shot at the QB. Well he succeeded in that and got Raines out for the game and maybe several weeks. There's no place for players like that on the field. Be aggressive and hard nosed between the lines. Not on the track...

[/quote] When you knock out someones starting QB intentionally, that has an effect on the game. We lost the game when our receiver caught the ball fair and square in the end zone and miraculously somehow committed pass interference. But its no excuse.. I could care less about losing the game.. I'm way more concerned about our QB and his health after such a cheap blow by BH..

It was 3 yards out of bounds! Obviously it was intentional! Sorry to BH fans if I seem a little cold but we've lost our starting QB early each season for several years now. It gets old. Especially on such a cheap, classless, plowing into the bench several yards out of bounds!

I may see something different on replay but what was with the bogus offensive pass interference call on the dogs td pass in ot? The receiver had inside leverage and the DB cut off the route! And the field goal in regulation was good! Complete classlessness and unsportsmanship by BH tonight.. Raines was several yards out of bounds when the defender plowed him into the bench. He deserved to get his ass kicked..
