LCM in the first half was getting beat in the trenches and Huffman blitzed every play. We were by far out coached in my opinion. Our defense only gave up two touch downs. But two LCM turnovers came to a interception and a option pitch that gave Huffman 14 points. Our Cordinator really needs to sit down and think to himself if our defense is controlling the game do we need to force the ball down when we are up? We could have ran the clock down and won the game in imo. But LCM fought hard even with winters in street clothes. We need to rebound from this loss.

I don’t know why my font messed up on the last one. We had a 7 man front two line backers and two safeties in the second half. To me that made a difference for our team to control them. LCM struggles against any wing t. I’ve never seen LCM make a whole lot of adjustments in the second half to there defense in the last 8 years. So when they came out and had somethings changed I was surprised. I think we were 8 man front with one safety the first half. Bridge City stayed in a 3 man front against us and it did not help them at all. Our recivers were open and if they bit on Winters in the zone read our Qb gashed them for some yards.

Lol well Coach Moody was at LCM before Crouch and brought on our first 0-8 season (hurricane Rita time), and he tried to copy the Odessa Permian “mojo” and called ours bojo. People still make fun of it to this day. I agree with not counting it as a sure thing at all. We do need a different mentality of LCM football. Even our baseball program has started kind of sliding down, but our boys basketball team is ranked #19 in the state currently. So I guess you’re closer to my age then.

After seeing both teams. I’d say this would be a battle. Silsbee has speed on offense and will be able to score quick as we did. That’s really downfall because Bridge City offense is good at keep away and 4th down conversions. The key in stopping BC is that sweep imo. Good luck to both and I hope injury free night
