LOL why laugh??? i wouldn't be suprised if more than silsbee challenges WOS for the top spot in district... and someone said earlier about WOS is going to drop 50-60 on every team but silsbee in district and honestly, i'd be suprised if they drop that many points on anyone but HF... idk exactly about HJs defense, but BC and OF have a hard hitting defense and they fly to the ball. (i think BC's may be slightly better) at this point, any team (except HF, sorry guys) has a shot to challenge for 1st place in district!! and nothing against HF!! i'd love everyone in the district to be completely even with a hard hitting defense with consistent offenses!! calls for close games and a more exciting district play!

im sure every team in this district believes the same way, now its about doing! theres no doubt in MY mind the cats will be in the playoffs in the #2 or #3 spot. 1. wos 2. silsbee/of 3. silsbee/of i wouldn't be so sure of silsbee and wos being in the spots you have them... i wouldn't be suprised if WOS didn't get 1st in district this year... and i wouldn't be suprised if Silsbee didn't go to the playoffs this year. seems like every team in the district (except for HF) has a shot at going to the playoffs... going to be a war come district!!

i think if the visitor team goes to the middle of the field before OR after the game to say, "hey, this is our field not yours" or something like that it is very disrespectful... i think i said the very same thing about WOS going to the middle of every field they played on before and after the game, (unless they lost) idk if they still do that or not but just an example... but if its your home field and you go to the middle of it i dont have any issues with that... as long as it's nothing disrespectful towards the other team

i agree for the most part, but i think you should also pencil in WOS as well, i think WOS vs OF BC and Silsbee will be closer than what is expected... possibly even a loss, who knows, no one can predict the future... but sad to say but i dont think HF is going to worry anyone, but dont take the for granted and show them respect or they will have a good chance at an upset. i think it will be a huge war this year when it comes to the top 3 spots!! im sure WOS will make the playoffs, when have they not?? but, the other 2 spots will be an all out war between silsbee, OF, BC, and HJ... JMO

I heard there were about 160 students out of of school BC earlier this week because of flu like symptoms

the only thing i have to comment about is when he said, “We spend a lot of time on special teams,†Stump said. “I am not sure we spend more time on it other teams but we might. It certainly has paid off. It is a case of when the kids see it works, they want to work at it and be better at it.†spend more time on offense! ;D

I agree with you raideroldtimer. Catching a ball is not something that you think about while running the route. You run and everything seems to stop. Your mind is doing everything for your body. You don't think about all of the route running drills or catching drills that your coach has put your through. If the ball comes your way you just catch it. Once the ball is caught you look for open space, blockers and the endzone. Catching the football isn't the hard part... Anyone can run a route and catch it... But it's after you getting flattened out on your back while looking a the ball and getting smashed when you don't see it coming... After that happens a couple times a receiver WILL start looking for the defender that's got his number on lock.

and the quick slant into the linebackers territory and getting SMASHED the play before... thats when receivers start looking around while the ball is in the air

Woah, woah, woah, not so fast there Mr. HDcat. I'll give a JV team some credit. 2007 HF JV! They went 9-1! They beat WOS JV and only lost to Jasper. That's the only JV team I give credit to! They were made of metal and brawn! Those were the days throwing dirt in your opponents eyes, the clothesline, and making a tackle and spitting a loogie in your opponents mouth because you wanted to make him better! That was back in the day of the leather helmet and one-bar facemask and when JV meant exactly what it said... JUNIOR VARSITY. Nowadays all you see on JV is selfishness and players just doing it for the money. No heart, no grit! Ya gotta git a lil gravel in ya guts! JV means nothing compared to varsity... 3 years ago BC JV went 9-1 losing to WOS i believe, and the next year the majority of the same players were on Varsity with the remaining seniors and went 0-10...

and i pick BC by a TD!!! 4-1!!!
