I heard GCM not sure if there is any truth to that.....

This field is super nice.  I can assure you the field will be very comparable to what they will play on in Austin.  I have not been there but saw pictures from the Lufkin game that was played there.

How is Listi and DeBerry doing?

[/quote] There were plenty of fumbles that went our way so the questionable scoop score by Navasota was not that bad of a call considering we were granted the ball 3 other times that we fumbled and navasota came up with the ball. Our D played Great, score does not show it, but the 2 picks, scoop and score, and KO TD alowed for 28 of their 43 pts.  Good luck to all the Srs. and good luck to the underclassmen I hope next year is just as successful.  We have some BIG shoes to fill.

Cheering for Huffman but not seeing the end result being to Huffman's liking.  I think Coldspring wins 42-20 with Huffman scoring late to get to 20.  Good Luck in the playoffs to both teams and I hope both have deep playoff runs.

[/quote] Seriously Better than Deberry who was all-district SS as a sophomore I really doubt it........and Key may not be as good as they are making him out to be but he is good and will be a prospect in 2 years when he is a Sr.  The kid has a CANNON!!  I am taking anything away from Smelley but to beat out Deberry he better be pretty impressive, but you never know with a new coach over there, that could help or hurt him during the season. 

I am taking Cleveland but I think it will be closer than most think......Cleveland by 12, I know that is 2 touchdowns but before the season started i would have said Cleveland by 28!!!

You're comparing Splendora to HF, REALLY??? HA HA HA . . .comparing those 2 is like comparing the varsity team to the local pop-warner. I really hope Huffman is expecting Splendora to be comparable, because if they do this might get outta hand in the Wildcat's favor. If you want to look at it that way I am. Splendora will not compare to Coldsprings speed nor do i think that they will be as good as their "D". And the question you asked later in the discussion if it was directed at me, if i was actually at the HF game against Liberty, yes i was. The game would have been different if HF did not fumble so many times (which is props to Liberty's D). So since Huffman had their way with HF and Splendora struggled with Liberty I do not think Splendora will hang. Not to say I do not think that Splendora will not do well in this district, I just dont think that they compare well with Huffman's offense. But thats why they play the games, so we will see Friday night.

I agree that Coldspring wins. But either way it is a STATEMENT GAME for Shepherd. People can then have something to judge exactly how good they have become this year. Good Luck to both teams. Hopefully District 22-3A can tighten up and games not be so predictable.

I am pretty sure Splendora will not hang 40 up on the board. They are not better than Willis or Santa Fe and Neither of them got to 40. I actually dont see this being close unless Splendora can figure out to slow down Huffman's passing game. Huffman will make mistakes and Splendora will have to capitalize. But after seeing the game against Liberty and Huffman's game against Hampshire, I am taking Huffman by 14+.

we played down to teams last year but its just an excuse. Only made the homecoming game last year and the game against Cleveland and both games looked good. But you are right it is only an excuse.

I did not make that game but i heard they played down, and that they were probably looking past Kashmere. They will not be able to do that in district or playoffs will be tough to get into. I saw Liberty's stats and they appear to be headed in the right direction. Not sure on Splendora, I figure these three will be battling for a playoff spot.

Since the game one crowd took off after the lightening show and the nearly 2 hr delay. Do you think Huffman can hold off Santa Fe and defend the new stadium again, as well as bounce back from the game against Kashmere? I was at the Willis game and the boys played better than some expected, so ill say Huffman bounces back and wins 30-27 but it will not be easy. If the run game has improved, which the stats in the Chronicle showed it did, and they pass like they did in game one ill say they win by more than the three i predicted.

Nice call Big Cal but after the game was cancelled or I mean DELAYED (I know they sound alike....kind of confusing for you) huffman went on to win 37-30. But since it finished at 1:00 am I gues you could say it was cancelled because they finished on Saturday.....???

How is willis supposed to be this year?? I saw Huffman in their Saturday scrimmage against each other but that is it.
