Lady Jackets win this series 3-1.  Girls were looking pretty good.  If they keep their focus and work on a little more spiking up front, they should be fine.  So far 7-2 in pre-district if I read it correctly.  Looking for them to keep momentum going as they begin district play next week.  Good luck Lady Jackets!

Chester's JV and Varsity both dropped this one to Latexo  :( Hopefully we'll do better in rematch on 9/6.  Hang in there ladies!

Well, I'm hoping for the same outcome...but then again..I'm kinda partial  ;) All kidding aside, if the 'Jackets come out focused they'll be hard to beat.

Also we still have 4 starters from last years team, two Srs, two Jrs.   Our freshman boys have stepped up and filled in some gaps. Our new boys have stepped up and put the ball in play and are getting on base and have made some good plays and you can't ask for more than that.  I think I may have written this before, but we have seen every team in the district and although we are at .500 right now, we are capable of beating any team when we show up to play ball.  I can promise you we are not an automatic win for our competitors by any means.  And even if we don't make the playoffs this year, we have a core building block for the years to come.  As long as we stay competitive in our hearts and put it out there on the diamond, we should be ok.  I sure would like to make the playoffs though!!  ;) And as always.....Fear the Sting!!  :)

Guess that's what makes hi school baseball so much fun .. It's like a box of chocolates!!  :)

pretty sure CC dogs took this one...it was 21 or 23-0 in 4th last night when we got update.  Heard dogs were ripping the ball pretty good.
