We'll just have to wait to see what happens Friday. I don't see too many things changing...personnel wise. However I do remember, Jordan Garrett, moving to Corner/safety last year, and still playing Wide out/ RB...so it's not out of the question. I think we have everything in place...I do feel that we will measure the 1st qtr of our season this Friday...but then again, your asking a Former Marine....we're a bit on the 'we don't know how to loose' side...it rubs off on my boy too...so I have to say, we'll be ok.. ;D ;D Man, I sure hope you're right about that. However, I've seen Westfield play before. The coaches over there are top notch, and they've got great talent and speed. I really would like to see us beat them, however, we have yet to do that. We should have a better idea where we eare at as a team after this Friday, but, not to be negative, I just dont see us having the tools to beat a top teir 5A team like them right now. Maybe I'll be wrong......

I sure hope the offense comes around soon.....it's sad when you're leading rusher on the team is the QB! I knew following after a great RB like C-Mike was gonna be tough, but I really expected a little more from #30 Cooper. We've got a D-Lineman thats like 5'11" @ 215 and runs a 4.45 40! I was kinda hopin Stump would have used him a little bit at the RB position, because he can run! But I guess he's a little too valuable at his defensive position. I still think our leading rusher will be our QB...Our O line makes a huge improvement this week, I say we pass and run enough to beat Westfield.... late. ;D

2A - Kirbiville 3A - W.O 4A - Central 5A - WB( ;D) Have the best chance in the area to be, STATE BOUND... these picks wouldn't be a little biased would they? As biased as they come... :D

Well, if either was on a 4A or 5A team they would have 4A or 5A teammates blocking for them, throwing to them, ect. So I don't understand the merit of the question. The kid from Evadale did his thing against a bigger 2A school, Villemez did his against a bigger 3A school. So both had a heck of a night! In other words, in a 4A or 5A program, how big is the difference..... the game is faster, bigger, stronger...now your DL run 4.6...you have 4.4 receivers on both sides of the field....do you still gain 15 yards per carry or does it become 4 yds per carry...

Out of curiosity, how do you think those guys would do vs 4A or 5A teams?

DA' BROOK: C - Offense: I think our Offense lacks expirience...too many penalties...with time, I think it's easily corrected. The running and passing game will come together very soon. B+ - Defense: The only problem with our D, which I believe will be fixed this week, is reaction to play recognition...other than that, we'll be an "A" . A- - Special teams: We're lacking that "return man"...I think he will get put back in this week and should solitify our unit. Coverage is great on both kick off and punts. Overall: B

I hope they change their helmets....if not, it will probably create a nasty aroma.

I also believe that..Not to take anything from WestBrooks Offense..But They only scored off of turnovers in the Jags Territory..They never drove the Field..The Jaguars D is once again Aggressive and fast and flys to the ball.. The Secondary is the Achilles heal of that Defense..Just Bad Mistakes that hopefully they will correct.. Over 200 yds in Da air.....our young Line missed blocking assigments in the ground game....we settle for field goals twice and tried to run the clock out before the Central missed catch.....which, by the way, IF we count the "IF's" in this game we'll never determine the winner....THIS IS FOOTBALL....you throw the 'what IF's' out and take it on the jaw...14-8 WB...."NEXT!" You ain't hear me say nothing about what ifs... ;D ;D Just the peeps that start playing the game from the missed catch...I'm certain the kid is a sensational athlete, but to put the loss all on one play....Central has tremendously gifted receivers...the backs are awesome....better yet they are a great team....sometimes coaches have to determine what they want to exploit before a game...with district play closing in, you have to think how you can win, but not show too much. Ahhh, the average fan doesn't know that, might as well jump on the thread an fart...it may make more sense. :D

Wesfield put up 400+ yards on Cy-Falls with 2 RB's getting over 100 yards. I believe that Brook's defense will not allow this, but my question is can they keep the intensity on Defense while getting that offense together. I'm not quite sure, but this will be another defensive struggle with Westfield sneaking out with a W. 28-24. I can't say anything.... :-X :-X, I can only hope we play our best game this year!!

Does 'Da' Brook put all the pieces together this week for the big test? Pass/Run - Offense,Pass/Run Defense, Special Teams, No penalties!!! Predictons...
