1. Well what makes it not ligit is that fact that he ran a hand held time, which if it was a TRUE 10.4 he would be ranked number 2 in the state of texas, and the 2nd place finisher would be in the top 10 in state as well with a high 10.57.. the odds of these times being considered ligit are very slim because the number ranked highschool sprinter in the nation cameron burrel won TSU Relays with an FAT 10.3
 2. With all do respect to the great program that west orange has, thats pretty much kind of a slap in the face to the ozen secondary coach who im sure spent more time with chris james in 3 years than his short time at west orange.. i'll go as far as saying that west orange got a pretty well polished player who was actually having a good season as a panther before he ever stepped foot in mustang land
 3. Ozens Tony Brown is possibly the best high school hurdler in the nation and it hasn't been brought up not once on setx.. Well congrats Lil tony and good luck this weekend at the indoor national championships.. Kid looked amazing last sat at YMBL in both he 110 hurdles and 100m dash, that was an amazing sight to see a kid basically dominate the 110's walk right back down into the blocks and then win the 100m dash GREAT JOB!!!! It was stated in the Enterprise that where ever he goes to school he will play footbal and run track, well its sure looking like he can do both. Ozens boys have always been known for there Track progam and good sprinters coming out of there, but he just might be the best...

WOS lost to a team that dominated 3A the point of bringing up the 6 turnovers is to say this. Navasota beat WOS 38-7 even tho we had all those turnovers.  Nobody else they played had more then 2 turnovers.  And they all still got blown out. And if Navasota did that to WOS then is it safe to assume the rest of the Golden Triangle didn't have a chance.? And also Tony has plenty of athletes at ozen.  Also yes WOS has and elite secondary an that helps kids making ints sometime. But some of you guys need to watch the wos kids film a lot of their picks are while they are man to man coverage. Here's SMU commit Jmarcus Rhodes of WOS 6'2 185 cornerback film compare his to Tony you will see Rhodes is a physical ball hawk that plays with passion. [Hidden Content]
The dbs from La Marque actually looked better on the film I watched, at least they could stay close to the receivers and they're rated about the same. I only saw Brown in person once but I was kind of taken back by how well he moved with that kind of length. When you lost by 31 to the best team on your schedule you can't throw in Bridge City stats to make up for it. Rhodes' numbers may look better but Brown did his work on PA Memorial, Vidor, Nederland, 3A-D1 champ Stephenville, and did the best job I've seen on potential Big 12 rival Realon Singleton who goes about 6'4" and nearly 200 lbs, the same kid who the next week looked like Randy Moss against state semi-finalist Manor's dbs. Brown is rated a lot higher than even Earl Thomas who cam out of Stark so unless you think the current WOS dbs are better than Thomas you shouldn't even make an argument 'cause the people that do it for a living think Brown should be better than them all.
So you think Brown is as good or better then Earl Thomas lmao wow. And I watched the film of stephenville the wideout that's commited to Texas state hit Tony up for 130 yards and the next week Tony was moved to rover. I will post that film to if you want to keep coming on here acting like you know what your talking about. And the only kid in Lamarque secondary that was WOS good is the Heyward kid he's talented. The others were average. And u guys dropped 8 people into coverage against Navasota WOS went man to man the whole game. I will post that film also. Stop talking like a blind fan here we post facts and as you see I have no problem doing so to prove a point.
OK you've officially snitched on yourself and why you have know clue on who tony brown is, its b/c your BLIND, the game against Stephenville Tony Brown started at S/S then moved to CB and finished the game at Rover, if you watched the Huddle film you should have seen that it wasnt Tony who gave up any long passes from the CB position, when he was on the edge at CB they tried to complete short routs and that totally failled... He is just that tyype of player who was able to play anywhere on the field
 5. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 53 Would you give it a rest LOL!! Rhodes is a GREAT KID and Athlete glad he had the opportunity to commit with SMU, please stop all of the comparisons between TONY and the Mustang Kids in the secondary.. Im starting to think Tony dated your little sister and broke her heart or something..
 6.

I personally dont believe Tony's film is better then WO-S sophomore Deionte Thompson's film. Deionte is said to be the #1 ranked safety for the class of 2015 in the state of texas and his film backs it up [Hidden Content]
Deionte is one heck of a ball hawk.
Yes he is, thats why I laugh when people who havent seen this kids play say a kid from their school or a kid I have seen play in person is better then what WO-S had on the field this year. The DB's WOS had on the field this year wont be matched in one highschool secondary again for atleast another10-15 years. Talk to a coach from TCU he said that even 5A schools dont have secondarys like what WO-S had this year, that it was truly a special bunch
So one quick question where are the offers from TCU to these WOS DB's your talking about "thats a real question I really wanna know" b/c if the sec is better than 5A schools then each one of them schould be going BIG SCHOOL and Im not talking about UTEP b/c Tony Brown has offers from TCU and every other BIG XII top team.. Not to mention the two teams your gonna be watching on the 7th of Jan.. Im really not digging how you start a thread on Tony Brown and compare him to other kids just to try and knock him, you have your opinion and thats exactly what it is an opinion. Bottom line every school in the country gets to evaluate these kids from huddle, camps, what ever and how ever they want, so to me its looking as if your trying to knock a kid just to elavate others.. yes WOS has very talented kids especially for a 3A but when you start questioning the blessings of another kid that pisses me off. I tell you this NAVASATA must have Div-I WR on both sides of the ball and at QB b/c they kinda played pitch and catch all night long.. NOW go and start a thread on that, better yet pull that game off of huddle and let us evaluate it....
 7.
Sunds like there some jealous people on this thread. Tony is a able to go these camps and get noticed by these big schools. You have to get invited to these big camps. If you don't perform at those camps, you won't get offers. Also, I've seen his stats and no they are not impressive. However, I wonder how much of that is that the other teams stay away from his side of the field. I know that happened to Beasley and Thomas when they started to get interests from major schools. The big schools won't offer or sign without watching film on him. I wish him the best and also hope his dad makes a full and speedy recovery.
I tried to explain this earlier but some people only seem to want to hate b/c of their lack of knowledge.. As a freshmen and soph he had between 80 & 90 tackles and 2 or 3 INT's each season, stats are lowerer this season b/c teams went away for what ever reason
 8.
It don't matter if this kid has  30 tackles or 10 tackles for the season. He has what it takes to go to the next level.  I'm going to say this again,  there are several things college coaches  are looking at:  (a)potential talent (b) GRADES (c)Facebook (d) Twitter......... If you have the GRADES, POTENTIAL & Character, you have half the battle won. Don't matter if another kid has more tackles than Tony and the kid's  grades and test scores don't meet the NCAA Clearing House requirements and/or he has bad character. TB has a good family foundation and will go places. You can always tell when these kids are doing something right because all the haters try and throw roadblocks & their distractions on the road not many are capable to travel, nor had the balls to try and travel. 9.
Tony Brown is not a football player he's a camp guy. Put on the pads on he goes from all american drill and combine guy to 2nd team all district. He's all hype i said it at the start of the season and people got mad. Now that they have seen him play most agree. With that said he's a great kid from a great family.  Just not a great football player
WOW again listening to some of you guys especially "jkbtc" tells me this site is more less for fans and not coaches and guys who actually played the game.... Tony Brown is ranked number in the top 5 in the nation as a DB and according to the 20 something BCS schools who are after him he play with the best of em' and they want him for his coverage skills and speed.. There isnt another player in the area who comes near his abilities in either pass coverage or speed.. He spent most of his season playing the saftey close to the line of scrimmage and teams seemed to always go opposite of him on the field so obviously the coaches who faced him saw something as well..
 10.
This is true. Parents know that everyone is not going to get scholarships so you must put your child/athlete in the best light to be successful and what better way than getting your child to a successful, well-known program, esp in state of TEXAS. $$$$ does matter, coaching matters, off-season work matters, individual work ethic and desire matter and of course, a little talent does hurt either. High School Sports is changing quickly and the climate of recruiting.  It's just not winning any more in high school sports but it is about getting to the next level for the athletes.  And help us all, that is a good thing; however, coaches are pinched in by this, and the pressure from communities and the desire to create a championship team. SE Texas is the gutter of high school sports in recruiting.  However, I say this NOT that is true but that after the greater areas of San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston areas are heavily recruited, we really don't factor in high school recruiting.  Yes, there are athletes who stand out or get recognized at scouting events, which parents get those athletes to, for college recruiting.  And It's not a lack of talent in SE Texas, just they way it is in TEXAS, esp football.  WOS gets looks in football recruiting but year in and year out, no too much other schools in this area.  And the great divide is only getting worse as time goes by, and the next generation of parents all KNOW that their child is the NeXt great thing.  There is not an "I" in TEAM but there is an "I"n WINNER and RECRUITED!!!!!
This post summarized high school football to the "T", it's no longer about the team concept which does make it a little harder to compete with the larger schools which setx will face in the later rounds, i said harder not impossible.. but what you cant compare are other sports to this scenario such as track because its more less an individual sport and if a kid is fast hell he/she will be fast on new track or a pile of dirt so its not a good comparison..
 11. Good defensive battle to the end no real losers in this one game could have went either way
 12.
Awesome D they held L town to 21 ;D
Nederland Defense (134.9 per game rushing & 82.7 passing) Ozen Defense (144.3 per game rushing @ 100.5 passing) seems as if the OZEN defense isntas bad as some think b/c Nederlands defense pretty good and the panthers numbers arent far behind..
 13.

Did not expect this thought Ozen would smoke this one.........
Well, really Ozen is a good team but I still believe the best team won, and the calls by the ref's did not determine the game in anyway. This crew was not a good working crew, but nothing they call affected the outcome of the game. They just turn a 2 hour game into a 3 hour game that's all they really did.
Are you serious they called back a 45 yard gain by ozen that had the panthers in scoring position to tie the game up in the 4th qtr, there was not a flag on the field, or never a flag thrown to explain their actions... all we saw from the stands was the livingston coach yelling and screaming and then there was a meeting for 5 mins and then the ball was not only moved back 15 the first time but picked up again and then it was as if they played the initial down over, but that normally follows a flag which was never thrown seen or justified
 14. Yes saw it first hand, some good ole home cooking.. it was ridiculous
 15. Saturday morning headlines turns into Sunday morning headlines.. Central and Lumberton go into overtime 8 times and game is called off until Sat where its then stopped after playing for more than 24 hrs before U.I.L. is called in to declare game a draw and teams will flip a coin at the end of season to see who will take home the last place certificate
 16.

I was wondering how long it was gonna be before someone said Ozen had no discipline. I wish 409 fan(panther hater) could give us 10 more reasons why the speedy undisciplined panthers will loose to vidor
And just when you thought you put me away.......I'm back! Sorry for the wait guys but I have to take care of what pays the bills and also who helps pay them. Secondly, I wish I could give you the top 10 reasons why Ozen beat Central in the first place but that's not the title of the post so I will give you MY TOP TEN REASONS WHY THE PANTHERS WILL LOSE HOMECOMING COME FRIDAY NIGHT: 1. Now I said it last week and maybe I lied, but this week the coaching staff I know is not better than Vidor's 2. Jordan Ozen could only muster up about 10 receptions for 150 yards last week against bad Central defense, not to mention the 3 yarder that Jones turned into 70 yards 3. Vidor is too strong 4. Vidor plays too tough and low 5. Jakobi Jones is still kind of overrated because he can only juke against teams who are not as fast AND DISCIPLINED as him. I wonder if he does the same in practice 6. They don't have that tough Nederland defense to cause havoc and pressure the QB and offense 7. They don't fare well against 3-3-stack teams or teams that play it. Don't believe me then look at Stephensville and Memorial film I know they remember those games and the lopsided scores 8. I can't remember the last time they won homecoming game. Try beating up on a team like Lumberton next year if you wanna win will ya 9. Their linemen are still very unexperienced and only played decent because they played against a team also with a very unexperienced line. But the big difference is next year Central will have most of those boys back I heard while Ozen will ONCE AGAIN LOSE THEIR GUYS IN THE TRENCH 10. Returning starter and Willie Ray Smith nominee Montana Quirante (had to google it to spell it right). Now there's a reason why he plays QB and starts on defense at MLB the most important position on defense My pick is Vidor to win this one 28-14. I do think they will take their foot off the gas at the end and burn a lot of time with their offense since they are good friends with the Ozen kids after GETTING THEM IN THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR BY BEATING LIVINGSTON FOR THEM.
WOW... I find it amazing how 409 can sit here and give his 10 reasons why OZEN will lose.. But I am still waiting for the list of ten reasons of why Central lost... continue to hate on OZEN and remember one thing though.. the Central game was over in the 3rd QTR with about 10 min remaining on the clock and the Central stands were almost completly empty at around 9:min and 30 sec remaining on the clock, so I guess what ever OZEN is doing so bad maybe you should be taking notes for your JAGS
 17.
Ozen is full of surprises.  Rush the Vidor QB to pass and things can go your way... ;)
I've always heard coaches say if you can force a team to do what they arent comfortable doing then yout gonna put yourself in the position to win.. Im with u bulldogg
 18.

I've read all of the post and most people seem to think that vidor has an edge on D. Why? could someone explain this statement or opinion. I've seen both teams play once vidor against bridge city and ozen against wedtbrook. both defenses were good. But as var as an edge Im lost. #23 for vidor is a beast and # 1 from ozen is the MVP both defenses better be ready for a hard faught game. My vote goes to ozen by 7.  PLEASE EXPLAIN THE EDGE
Vidor defense was there strong point last year. It what got them 3 rounds deep into the playoffs and they return 8 players from it, including the defensive MVP from last year.
Same can be said about Ozen there defense is what carried them 3 rounds deep in the play-offs.. Ozen 14 - Brenham 10.. They as well have 6 defensive players back... The Panther team speed is what is giving teams problems, so when they can hold a team like Central to 34 total rushing yards with there def thats saying alot
 19. I will comment on the issue of what has turned into a really bad thread which went from being Top 10 players to my teams player is better than him or Tony Brown is overratted... First off Tony Brown might be the most talented player in S.E.T.X and probably one of the most talented to ever come out of the area. People should stop comparing him to other athletes and pointing out who made a play on him. Bottom line he is only a junior so who really cares if Seales scored a big play on him when he was a Soph. Seales was a Sr. and ended up at a D-1 School, wow when Seales was a Soph no one even knew who he was.. You guys are watching a young talent develop into what many of the nations top coaches are probably considering the #1 DB recruit in his class remember he still has another season left. You cant even really compare the Barnes kid to Tony b/c bottom line he is just now coming into his own and just recently recieved offers from D-1 schools.. Compare their stats.. Tony started as freshmen and look at his numbers from that year, tell me how many athletes in this area contributed those types of numbers on the Varsity level are better yet how many freshmen have played on the varsity level in 4A ball and put up numbers like that.. He is a young kid who works hard and is reaping the benefits of his hard work so to say negative things over this website is truly wrong... Sounds to me like some are really just HATING  ;) ;)
