1.
Newton coach told me yesterday evening that nothing was going to come of the investigation. It seems to me that if  the investigation is being done from "in house" that the matter had already been looked into by the school  (prior to the Newton game) and found the players elgible to play. Seems to me like the next decision by the same school would produce the same results. but come next year "WE SHALL RETURN"...... good year Eagles, good luck E. Chambers for you now carry the banner for this district.
Thanks purpleeagle, You have a first class football team over there in Newton. Good luck and looking at your roster YOU SHALL RETURN. Now EC has to take care of bussiness Friday for 10-2A district. ;D I wish they would hurry up and put out their decision.

 4. Assistant Principal, Mr. Allen Koch is at Tatum as well as AD Andy Evans. I had forgot about Allen being at Tatum, looks like he got out of coaching into Ass. Principal. Good luck guy's. ;D
 5.
really thinking about coming and watching yall bump heads friday, but of course i will be sporting my purple and white lol
Come on out. We will make you feel right at home.
 6. WOSgrad sure can come up with some stats. Newton get ready just in case.  ;)
 7. WOW Tatum #34 Kiano Lucas Jr. linebacker made one of the best hits on a kickoff return I've seen this year. The kid went back 2-3 yards. I did not see him make any more hits like that anymore but that one kickoff tackle was good.
 8. Watched some film and Overstreet is one heck of a player. As a passer, the film on Overstreet mostly shows him throwing touch passes in the redzone for jump-ball touchdowns to a WR #1 Nate Pickett. WR #1 Nate Pickett is their go to receiver, but # 24 Shaq Johnson will come out of backfield for short pass. Just my opinion, Overstreet is the team passing and running. He can take over the game if you let him.

Jalen Overstreet to Texas, 2nd 2012 QB In the Fold by GhostofBigRoy on Oct 31, 2011 12:53 PM CDT in Texas Longhorns Recruiting   40 comments Email Print. After receiving a Texas offer on Saturday during a sit-down in Mack Brown's office, 2012 Tatum athlete Jalen Overstreet committed on Sunday evening, solidifying future depth at the quarterback position by joining long-time commit Connor Brewer as a member of the 2012 class. Overstreet is the 19th commitment in the class and choose Texas over offers from Texas Tech, Baylor, and Kansas as a quarterback, Michigan as a wide receiver, and Arkansas and Missouri as an athlete, an offer list that helps solidify his bona fides as both an athlete and a quarterback. Brewer has stated in the past that he is comfortable with the Longhorns offering another quarterback in 2012 after defections from Connor Wood and Garrett Gilbert during the fall and Texas settled on Overstreet after scouring the state and inquiring about every committed and uncommitted quarterback in the class. At 6-2 and 205 pounds, Oversteet is a well-built athlete who could project at WR, H-back, safety, or outside linebacker if he doesn't work out at quarterback and shows a strong ability to break tackles at the high school level, showing off his lower-body strength and balance in doing so.
 10. congrats. Sounds like a great program.

 21.
We debriefed after the game yesterday, and everyone of our kids, said that the Vidors boys were very cool and respectful, throughout the game, had nothing but respect for them. There are a lot of teams that don't show that after a game, more than we'd really like to see. That shows just how great those kids really are. Because in an era of an outbreak of total disrespect for your nation, your family and your fellow man. Those kids were able to stand above all of that. Vidor Pirates you boys are a class act. My boys came home hating the loss, but knew they had been beaten by the better team that Friday night. To quote "Dad they came to play, they played hard, but they weren't cheap about it. They confused us at first with that wheel route, and when we finally adjusted, they came right at us with their bread and butter and challenged us to stop it. By the time we got to firing on all cylinders, we ran out of time. As bad as it hurt, I felt good knowing I lost to a good team, that had as much respect for us as we had for them, it left me feeling kinda good, even though I felt bad." After hearing that from my boys, I had a sense of pride in our system, and a sense of pride their are more out their like them. Because there is one thing we push in my household, and that's respect, without that, we have nothing. And the Montgomery program pushes that as well. If you noticed if one of our boys was called for a personal foul, involving unsportsman like conduct, he is immediately bench for that series. It a penalty that we just don't stand for. Coach Bolfing even benched his son, the starting QB last year in the playoffs for a series, because Tyler made a bone headed move and drew a flag for it. It's just not acceptable play in our book. Once again Good Luck Vidor, we're definately a fan.....
Great Post. Sounds like two great teams.
