1. Does anyone know the Field and Track start times for Thursday?
2. Natalie Hager has 22 goals for PN-G; 12 before District and 10 during.
3. PN-G wins 1-0 on a Natalie Hager goal that was reminiscent of the Donovan goal in the World Cup.
4. OK, then. How about Monday/Friday for boys & Tuesday/Friday for girls. At least the fans could see 1 game per week together.
5. Looks like that PN-G game with Kelly might have been a good one, but we will never know  ???
6.

Great game.  Also seemed to be one of the best attended games I have seen the Bears play this year.  The fan support was noticable and I know the boys appreciate it.
Would a Wednesday/Saturday schedule work better for soccer?
Monday/Thursday for boys & Tuesday/Friday for girls. Then, soccer fans would not be split (to boys or girls) and the attendance for all games would increase. However, school administrators are pretty well set in their ways, so don't hold your breath on this.
7. PN-G lost to a strong 5A Creekview team 6-0. Creekview had beaten Longview Pine Tree 2-1 earlier. PN-G then played Pine Tree and were leading 1-0 late in the game when Pine Tree scored on a freak goal when the ball slipped out the goalie's hands while punting the ball out of the box. Final score: 1-1.
8.
This is an easy fix. Continue club ball, eliminate high school ball. ;) ;D
Quite a few club players do not play high school soccer. Sort of what you suggested.
9. Bon_Mot said: Where, exactly, are you getting this information from? From observation. For example, Friendswood is the only team in all of Region III 4A that I have seen that plays above a Div 2 level, so the percentage there would be about 1%. Agreed that the percentage in that category in 5A is higher, maybe 5-10%. Also, for the record, Kelly plays above a Div 2 level, but not at a Div 1 level.
10. Bon_Mot has an attitude that prevents him from discussing an issue from a level prospective. Club (Div 1 or above) soccer allows players to learn competitive skills due to the level of play. Almost all high school soccer teams play at a Div 2 (and mostly below) level. Therefore, the competitive skills needed to have a good high school team will not be obtained by players that play in only high school games. It really has nothing to do with high school coaches.
11. Hendrickson beat Brenham 3-0 in  a rainstorm.
12. Some coaches at TASCO were more modest than others.
13. Looking forward to the Lumberton/PN-G matchup on a cold Tuesday night.
14. Everyone turn for the game against Houston Baptist at 6:30.
15. ... which was rather amazing since her best events are 800 meters / 1600 meters.
16. PN-G beat both Lumberton teams handily this year. Given Lumberton's superior talent, I must then assume that PN-G had superior coaching.
17. "They said it was the coaches responsibility to call them with the imformation needed, and it wasn't done" Don't believe this for a minute. If they were actually interested in publishing District standings in soccer, they would then keep track of the information they get. If for some reason they did not get the information in a timely manner, I would wager that they also have the ability to call, just not the inclination to do so.
18. Any updates? I know that the news media does not have this information, which is a joke.
19. Please post standings for both girl's districts.    ;D
20. They used 4 stadiums in different cities for the Confederation Cup. I wonder what is so important that they are building?
