1.
no, a vidor fan started a thread that was a carry over from a topic started at the preview last night by a non vidor fan. he just posted it. if you read the whole thread you'll see others reppin other schools making basically the same statement. "WHERE WERE THE MC FANS". it quickly turned into a mc-v-vidor thread because a vidor fan started the thread and from their it went way away from the topic.
Come on. robanadana is not stupid. Surely he knew when starting this thread that he was going to get some smack back from the Mid-County folks. That just comes with the territory. I don't think a lot of MC folks were able to be there. I know my father wanted to go but couldn't because he had to work late.
 2.

Cause we have  more threads going than we can keep up with. I can go bump them all up if you like?
don't bump the one with the purple bulldog. ;D that is classic.
You mean this? ;D [img][Hidden Content]] I've got to give credit where credit is due. This actually belongs to another PN-G user who posted it a few years ago. I just go dig it up every now and then to rattle some cages (pun intended). ;D
 3.
Your missing the point there bamakid. The point is when Ned and png get called out on something they always change the subject instead of manning up and admitting it.

of course, but we were singled out on this one and the thread ended up going into a different direction.
So let me get this straight. A Vidor fan starts a thread attacking PN-G, Nederland and one of the most prominent rivalries in the state, and y'all didn't think Mid-County fans would smack talk him right back? Maybe I give Vidor fans too much credit. ;D
 4.

i'll tell you whats sad, a post is made about ned and pn-g not coming out to the MCM preview show and it turns into a full frontal assault against vidor.
Smh that is pretty sad. Typical mid county people though. They get called out on something and thy have nothing to say so they turn it into something else. Like a bash vidor thread. Even the Nederland mod started pointing fingers even though his statements were proven false.  8)
You mean Vidor's never taken an opportunity to bash PN-G and Nederland before? ;) :D
 5. Man, that's a rough week. Prayers to all the families and friends. :(
 6.
it has nothing to do with jealousy either!  come on my purple friends keep guessing!!
Wasn't referring to you. But, if you think MCM is anywhere near dead, you're sorely mistaken.
 7. The only sad thing about this thread is how jealous some people obviously are. ;D
 8.

my point was that your underclassmen hijacked your mcm lead thread.....i thought mcm was all about: game selling out, (already sold out, right) fanatic fans, great rivalry, media frenzy, cherokee and bulldogs songs(whatever they are>) indian spirit, and marching "i" oh yeah, game played on friday night....that's the point.  if all of this "other" stuff happens on tuesdays/thursdays, excuse me, then
It's called MCM even at the junior league level...they call it Jr MCM, but our kids love it!  It's been around so long that all Indians and Bulldogs love this week.  From flag up to varsity, it's exciting for them.  They learn about this rivalry early at PNG and Nederland.  Just because it's a younger group, doesn't mean that they don't love it too.  And yes, the underclassmen are preparing for Friday nights.  But they do have to earn it...and in order to do that, they have to start somewhere.  Our rivalry isn't only for varsity guys....even though that is the "big show."
It's not just in football either. We've even gone after each other at UIL meets before.
 9.
the cruel part was not painting the dog, the cruel part was painting the dog purple!  i get the whole freedom of religion and choice but the right to be painted a schools color that will not win more than one game this year should be a civil rights violation!
We've already won two games, so.... ;)
 10. Done. Legacy does an excellent job. Really happy with the quality of PN-G's digital broadcast at five of the six games so far this year.
 11.
Please tell me that you all don't practice cannibalism like the Attakapa did???
Let's just say that Billy Joe's BBQ really is Billy Joe's BBQ. ;D But it should be pointed out that the Donner party started by eating the dogs. ;D
 12.
and the color Purple is TORTURE
And for bulldogs, the Reservation is Gitmo. ;D But if you really want to get technical, how about you look up the real meanings of colors. Purple is royalty, white is purity, black is death, and dingy yellow is sickliness. ;) [Hidden Content]
I too know how to use photoshop... I could photoshop your Indian Spirit but I wouldn't...
Two responses to the same post? I guess I got under somebody's skin.... ;) Actually, if you must know, this wasn't photoshopped at all. This is very much a real picture taken by someone who uses this very site. But I know something like this scares bulldogs so much that they can't accept that it's real. ;D
 13.
"Always be faithful, until your getting beat like a drum...."
At least you know our fight song well enough to satirize it. The only non-Nederland fans who know your fight song are the college fans you stole it from. ;D
 14.
Funny that most NERDS end up being the bosses... Steve Jobs, Bill Gates to name a few...
Good thing y'all do PN-G nerd day, then. ;D
 15.

MCM is not just Friday Night. My lil Indian went to school dressed like a Hippie Day 1: Twin Day Day 2: Neon/Hippie Day Day 3: Old People Day (Nothing but respect for our Senior Citizens) Day 4: Nederland Nerd Day Day 5: Spirit Day-Wear Your Purple Thats just one of the schools. I know Nederland has a week of festivities..Do share!
why is ok to insult the hippies and the nerds but you feel like you owe the old people an apology?  ;)
It's not ok to insult nerds. Just Nederland nerds. ;D And it's ok to insult hippies but not senior citizens because the elderly actually did something for this country. ;D
 16.
Finding out real Cherokee Indians didn't wear feathers... see link below you all need to change your mascots clothing... [Hidden Content]
Actually, they did wear feathered turbans, but they did not wear the feathered headdresses that we see in plains tribes (think Sioux and Cheyenne). In any case, we actually chose the team name 'Indians' back in 1925 because of the pre-columbian presence of the Attakapa and Karankawa tribes in the area, not necessarily because of the Cherokee; that affiliations wasn't conceived until 32 years later when the fight song was arranged. But none of that stopped the Cherokee tribe from adopting PN-G in 1980. Nor did it stop the Texas State History Museum from putting our mascot's uniform and one of our drum majorette headdresses on display. ;)
 17.
You notice that Bulldog was not alive...
No, but this one is. ;D [img][Hidden Content]]

No offense, but to be totally honest, if that's what you think, you need to stick to talking about Nederland because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to PN-G. I have immense respect for Matt Burnett and the Burnett family for the many things they've done for the PN-G community, but it was time for a change. Anyone even relatively close to the program knew that.
It may have been Burnetts players but it wasn't his offense. Who could forget run left, run right, run up the middle, and punt.
It was run, run, pass, punt. Get it right! ;D People are right in the sense that most of our starters on the 10-0 2009 team were coached by Burnett in 2008, but they tend to forget that those same kids went 3-6 under Burnett. Their contention basically makes our point.
 19.
Finding out the heritage of their Indian mascot can be traced back to the Village People and YMCA late nights!! just saying.......
I don't know what you're talking about. The only PN-G affiliation with the YMCA I know about is when the entire PN-G crowd started dancing to the song before the LC-M game. ;D By the way, am I the only one who thinks it's ironic that the school with the smallest jumbotron in the district does the best job with it during all the pre-game festivities? LC-M has some fun with it.

 23.
well if a half is all it takes, I guess we beat Dawson then...thanks for the good news, bamakid!
I guess if you can put words in someone's mouth, you can put points on a scoreboard.... ;)
 24.

How many Bulldogs does it take to pass a school bond?  Answer - More than they had last time.  Enjoy the window units.
Now that was a low blow,,,even lower than the citizens who voted against the bond. We got the best window units money can buy!!!! lol,,,,,,,
And a doghouse with window units is a pretty darn fancy one if you ask me. ;D
