OK, can't let this slide.

Our next 2 years looks great.  Our JV did NOT get a beat down by Dayton JV in the scrimmage....what the heck are you talking about?

Our underclassmen in the backfield are just about as good as they get - speed, strength.

Our unclassman who on are Varsity are excellent ball players making contributions to D and O line as well this year and will return next season.

Our JV defense didn't look out of step with Dayton's guys and I know one of Dayton's players had his bell rung.

Our underclassman QB looks like a linebacker and  easily passed the ball through Dayton's D, successfully for a handful of TD's along with many other completions.  He has crop FULL of outstanding receivers on JV. 
Our JV kicker is outstanding!!!


Now, I will give it to you on the freshman, they got it handed it to them, but really you're considering them our next year's Varsity, really????


Dayton beat us in a scrimmage?  Is that all you got?


Maybe now, your season will be a success that you beat Nederland in a scrimmage, c'mon man.

I don't think anyone knows just yet. Maybe Crosby's o-line IS that bad? Maybe Ned's D-Line IS that good? Maybe both? I'm an offensive guy, and even I enjoyed watching the Ned defense play Friday night. It was impressive, no doubt. They were good last year, so one would expect them to be that much better this year. I still think it's waaaay too early to tell, but it's fun reading all the trash talk from all sides!  ;)

You won't know what hit you when you play us....BTW....did you go to the Dayton scrimmage?

I do realize Angleton will be tough, but the only way you get better is to face good competition in games.

You won't know what hit you when you play us....BTW....did you go to the Dayton scrimmage?

Im starting to think ned fans are blind. Daytons jv outscored ned and our freshman had 14 tds. I know it was a scrimmage but the talent difference was very noticeable.

However, I don't see a QB having enough time to successfully pass for deep balls with 90 and 92 in his face all night.  We might get burned once but the D holds.


I'll put all of my money on the big boys up front.  No running game will have success vs those guys and then it places the offense in a one dimensional pattern.

I do hope for the NDNs they get it together before MCM.

Dayton's JV beat our JV by 1 (ONE) TD....wow, talent pool is empty in Nederland.

I  guess you forgot to count how MANY completions and TD passes the NEDERLAND JV team had.  I guess you couldn't count that high.


And the hits our JV put on Daytons' guys, I guess you blinked and didn't see that either.

Come on guys, this is getting silly. You can't compare teams from what you see in a scrimmage. Nederland was not playing some select starters on D cause they were banged up and I think I remember hearing they put some D-linemen on the O-line to experiment. On top of this, coaches experiment with different packages and stunts in scrimmages. I'm sure Dayton was doing this too, and they obviously found some success. If you guys are really trying to compare Nederland and Dayton from that scrimmage, that's downright stupid. People can say Nederland this and Dayton that all they want, no one will get anywhere until these 2 teams meet on a football field for a real game. I'd like to think that'll happen this year in the playoffs, but since both teams are likely to finish near the top of their districts the chances are slim. Good luck to both teams this year, and here's to hopefully meeting up in the playoffs so this issue can be put to rest. 8)

I personally have respect for Vidor and all of 20-4 A opponents.

I do respond sometimes negatively to our other district foes as they put down everyone and every team from Here, most pointedly Nederland.

I like to put it on the field and let the outcome of the actual game dictate "Braggin' Rights"

I do look forward to the game in Vidor this year and I know it will be a good one.

IF you could read, I was saying that the D from NDNs could not keep up with our Middle School. 

Proudly, several of our key Defensive players went to that middle school along with my kids.
