Maybe im an idiot maybe I dont have the slightiest clue about how football works but we havent even started two a days. Things can happen
Here is my only hitch with Vidor and this is true you went what two rounds deep last year. If you were more than a one dimensonal team you might have a chance to do very well but i agree with Brenhem fan there are teams in your district that can shut you down. You line 8 in the box and man cover the recievers you can shut down a mis directional offense Please excuse all my misspelled words I am not very good at it  Lets get the gear on and then start talking.
Lol people like you make me laugh. Shut down our "one dimensional" offense? Really? Not one team we played last year shut us down. Heck noone held us to less than 15 points in the whole season. We averaged 360 yards a game and 29.5 points a game. Wow.  ::)

And we went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.

Next time you might wanna read what you write before you post it.
twocents, if my memory serves me correctly, Nederland held your vaunted Pirate offense to under 200 yards last season...not certain but i can sure find out for sure tonight...irregardless, that O was held pretty much in check all night by Nederland.

Look buddy, Vidor had a great season last year and should be proud of that success, but don't come on this board acting like they are a lock for a 9-1 or 10-0 season because they are not
Yep, Vidor had only 178 yards against Nederland last season, so to say that "no one" stopped their offense would be inaccurate
True.  Credit where credit is due...
Once again, two pennies having selective memory loss.

not making excuses but Nederland did hurt Bollinger on the second drive of the game, it was well known he was our best running back and quirante was hurt in the second quarter... that took away most of our offense... that is relevant losing our best weapons...

Lol.  When I said "we" I was referring to the current team.  Just as two cents said " Really? Not one team we played last year shut us down. Heck noone held us to less than 15 points in the whole season. We averaged 360 yards a game and 29.5 points a game. Wow.

Its sad that you have to resort to being the grammar police because you don't have an rejoinder to my post.  (BTW, you might have to google rejoinder.)

WE is a funny word, not always inclusive of the speaker.

I love how yall are comparing 2 defensive guys to two of offensive guys. A better comparison would've been if yall had lost carson ( qb who threw the game winning 4th down catch if i remember right) the second play of the game and lost shaw (the wr who caught the game winning 4th down catch if i remember right) the second half of the game. Wonder who yall would've done then. And Just before you try and say that there is no comparison between these two Bolinger had about as much yards as carson did coming into that game and quirante had about as much as shaw did as well. Plus quirante had more tackles then you two "all district" starters had.

twocents, you lost...deal with it and move on...if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his butt when he tried to fly.

Not that it matters, but to set the record straight, Kimler made the 4th down catch and Shaw made the catch on the sideline the very next play.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
