Coldspring vs. Bellville predictions

CS seems to be getting a bad rap on the boards for over the top comments. Just remember its only a very small number of fans that seem to think being abnoxious is ok as long as your team is doing well. The vast majority of Trojan fans are just like the rest of us. They are proud of CS's season and excited about the play offs. To those fans I wish the best of luck.

Well let's see vidor a 2nd round 4a team, wos a 2nd round 3a team, silsbee an 8-3 playoff team, Kelly a 9-3 playoff team, and coldspring an 11-0 playoff team. There's some pretty dang good teams on that list

CS stands no chance they don't know competition if they see it.. Light out the parties over boys!
[/ uote]Well we will have to wait and see, one thing is for sure, you wont be there, but besides that I hear everyone talking about this Coldspring team being better than last years team, BULLCRAP, the defenses are probably a toss up, but our offense was better last year, Cody was a stud and our offensive line was a lot better, they were, SMARTER, FASTER, STRONGER, I havent seen our offensive line do anything special all year, they cannot pull and get to the second level like CJ, Daniel,Matt and kevin did, our line will dictate how far we will go this year, they have got to quit holding so much. I wish them all the luck in the world, the players need to get there butts off of this site and stop believing everything you read about yourselves because it's not gonna win a single game for you  GO TROJANS

I really enjoyed the game last night. Coldspring is very good football team. On the 3A level their defense is the best I've seen this year. If they have a weakness it's running the ball between the tackles, Bridge City had alot to do with that as they are the 2nd best defense I've seen this year in 3A.

Bridge City, I've seen 3 or 4 times this year and they had a great year. Those seniors will be missed as they were some talented athletes. Hats off to Coach Stump for a great year.

As for as Coldspring and Bellville, i have no clue on what Bellville has.

Locally WOS can play with Coldspring, their defense is comparable with Bridge City's. On the offensive side WOS can strike quick and i don't see them being shut out by Coldspring.

Bellville typically has some verry good teams and this year is no different. They are primarily a running team, they only throw about 6 times a game. They're only loss is to Sealy who just got destroyed by navasota. I think this bellville team is about on oar with BC maybe a little bit better, but coldspring should still win.

Coldspring 20 - Bellville 7

They give uo 124 rushing yards a game which is more than Huffman and bc so the might be a little weaker against the run. They have also played some pretty weak teams including lockhart (2-8), cuero(3-7), needville (1-9), Lagrange (4-6), brookshire royal (2-7), Caldwell (1-9), Columbus (5-6 although they did win a playoff game), and stafford (2-8)

Chronical's team stats ??? ???

For Bellville, they state total rushing yards at 3344, yet the sum of the individual player stats provided add up to 2417 ???

Then they have Coldsprings total rushing yards as 3257, yet sum of individual player stats provided totals 3660.

Interesting...

Regardless of the stats, I say Bellville hasn't met a defense as good as Coldspring's and even if Monroe sits out this week, the Trojans have far too much depth at running back to lose this one 8)

Chrons numbers for Coldspring looked to be correct until after the Bridge City game....It looks like whoever updated this weeks rushing numbers for the BC game made some type of error....Didn't look at the rest of the stats but do know that Gilbert had over 1600 yds and Monroe over 1100 yds going into the BC game...

Gilbert had over 120 yds against BC and not sure what Monroe had before exiting the game right before halftime...

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
