Burkeville only had -7 yards of offense tonight from what I heard.  Plus hopefully those two boys who got hurt are okay.

You may not agree with the present system, but those kids earned that right to get there.  Yes, they got their butts handed to them, but they got a chance to play another game and get some practice in for next year.  IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DO A BETTER JOB THAN WHAT THE PRESENT UIL PEOPLE ARE DOING, THEN GO AND GET AN EDUCATION DEGREE AND THEN GO TO AUSTIN AND WORK FOR THE UIL.  But I really don't think you will do that, instead you are going to keep complaining about who does and doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.  And besides your kid is gone anyways, don't you have better things to do now?

Earned the right? They were 1-6????!!!! How is that earning the right? What a ridiculous statement. I agree with True Blue 1000 %. Somewhere in Tx there is a group of kids at a 1A school that finished 5-5 and did not make the playoffs. They earned the right to go to the playoffs a heck of a lot more than this team did. If anything, you should be praising them. The playoffs should NOT be about as you say "practice for next year". Ludicrous. FYI..just because you have an education degree does not make you an expert to work for the UIL....and True Blue has the right (although I dont know him) to complain as much as he wants when a team of this caliber goes to the playoffs. TAMU..I admire your passion and your point is understood...but you are well off on this one.

Like anything else it boils down to money. Thats why the UIL did it. I agree that they should not of been in. When I was playing it was 2 teams and two only so you had to be good to get in. My older bro in law, when he was playing way back when, it was only 1, the district champion. Why not let everyone in. I think you should earn your way in and not be like, O if we make it as the 3rd place team we are in. Just sayin!!!

    • To clarify, Dems love wars. They rage daily in the bluest of blue inner citicis. Chicago had 39 shootings over the weekend, 9 dead. Warzone. Baltimore, Memphis, Detroit, etc. I am sure was just as bloody. The blue body count rises daily. I am sure the blue defunding of police and releasing murders without any bail have nothing to do with it. Right?
    • Will probably be released by the Democrats come September.  Sound familiar?
    • Sure.  You reassign an employee and they leave voluntarily instead of being fired and being open to litigation.  The outcome is the same, but you are making my point.  The superintendent and AD and principal are all empowered to make personnel decisions.  Instead of accepting the decision made, you talk about lawyering up, no one else was reprimanded, railroad job.  I am old enough to remember when high school sports taught life lessons...accountability being chief among them.
    • I know absolutely nothing about the situation, but I do know head coaches of sports other than the AD have actual teaching assignments, and I know from my wife having worked in the sped department of multiple schools that it’s not uncommon at all for coaches to shirk those duties.  It could very well be that this was the case at BC.  Or not, I don’t know.  Just bringing this up to point out the fact that, although many coaches only want to worry about coaching, they generally have several other responsibilities at the school.  some of them neglect or ignore these duties entirely.  If he’s been written up for other issues before, it’s a dumb argument to say “he was punished for this and others were not”.  If he had a pile of write ups in his file and they did not then it makes sense that the punishments were different.
