How do you have West Sabine over Lovelady when both teams are undefeated in district?
This isn't an opinionated and obscured Poll, I'm basing it solely from the current standings.  I do realize that I have the word "Projection" in the title and that could be misleading, my bad I'll change that.

This thread is intended as a "What if the Playoffs started this week" type of information.

Assuming West Hardin wins against Colmesneil and ends up 2-2 in district and then this next set of events happen:

If Lovelady beats Daisetta & then Daisetta beats West Sabine, the would make a 3 way tie in district.  In that scenario, Head-to-Head wouldn't apply, so what is used to determine tie breakers?

Is it overall record, points scored, points against or what?

It would go down to points (+/-) that each team has scored against each other, and the district would have set limit on the point spread.

The only thing I disagree with is West Hardin losing in the 1st round.  Based on the information I've looked up, I think the Oilers match up pretty well with Thrall & Moody.  Time will tell.

Thanks for your predictions!

The Thrall/West Hardin game was the one toss up to me in the first round.... Hope the Oilers can win that one though!!!!

District 13 is looking like this right now:  Milano/Granger tied at 3 - 0, Burton is 2 - 1 and you can add Holland into the mix at 1 - 2.  Granger and Burton play tonight, while Milano has Snook (bottom dweller).  Holland is playing Bartlett (0 - 3).  Granger/Burton game will be huge tonight (Granger win and they will play for district title next week against Milano (if they win tonight), while a Burton win could put them into a second place tie).  Making next week even more interesting with the Milano/Granger matchup, while Burton will have to play Holland (who still might have an outside shot of making it in).  Doesnt look good for the second and third place teams out of District 14, with the fact that three of the top four teams in district 13 are currently ranked in state.

Ok folks, here's what we've got.  This is based on Lovelady beating Hull-Daisetta this week and setting up for West Sabine & H-D in the final week of regular play.  I got this information from someone else, but I hope it helps shed some light on the situation.

Point difference between the 3 teams (Max of 21 per game)

West Hardin +8
WH 14 -- WS 27 -13
WH 57 -- HD 20 +21

West Sabine +13

HD -21

HD beats WS by 18 or more, then WH in as 2nd and HD 3rd & WS out.

If HD beats WS by 6-17, then WH will be 2nd, WS 3rd & HD is out.

If HD loses to WS, WS is 2nd, WH is 3rd & HD is out.

The last possibility is what will happen, mark it down. West Sabine beats HD and will be #2 seed, West Hardin #3 seed, HD out.

Okay, here is the updated District 13 A II standings:

Milano beat Snook  46 - 0
Granger beat Burton  26 - 20
Bartlett beat Holland  36 - 34

Milano  4 - 0
Granger  4 - 0
Burton 2 - 2
Bartlett  1 - 3
Holland 1 - 3
Snook  0 - 4

Milano travels to Granger (District title game), Burton plays Holland: Burton wins and they are in, a Holland win they go.  Bartlett is out of picture if there is a tie (point spread gets them).  Milano and Granger are in no matter what, just a matter of how they fall.

Normangee      3 - 0
Thrall       3 - 1
Moody       1 - 2
Somerville       1 - 2

Somerville at Moody this coming week, it will determine the 3rd place playoff team.

Normangee plays Iola, but has already locked up the district title with a win over Thrall.

Thrall locked up the #2 spot with a win over Moody this week.

For whatever its worth Moody has had some injuries.....I don't know if they will get any of those kids back this week or not.
Wow, they may not even get in.  No matter if West Hardin plays Thrall, Moody or Somerville, I believe the Oilers can win the 1st round.

Whatever happens, I as a parent, get to go out in the playoffs.

Hey Joharr73. This is pinelandflash. Who do you have playing? Good luck in the playoffs. The game you all played us (WS) was probably the most physical one we had all year. Will you all be in H-D on our side for one week? lol
I won't be there, but I'm sure a lot of the players will be.  There's a lot riding on that game for all 3 schools.

I agree, our game was very good defensive game for the most part.  A few big plays sprinkled in really kept everyone on the edge of our seats.

Tell ya what, how about we have a rematch in the playoffs?  We both have to win a few games first, but that would be fun.

Good luck to you all Friday, if you handle your business, then good luck in the playoffs to you as well.
