Stats are in BH total yards 414 to Lee's 171! BH rushed for 370 yard tonight and Duke almost broke 100 yards again going for 97 yards in the game! Kaleb didn't even run the ball tonight! Homecoming next week and Forest Brooke is coming to town :)

5-0 great job Eagles! Coach Gage and his coaches are really doing a great job here at BH!!
Kaleb did a great job of executing the offense tonight; holding the ball til the last instant to pitch. It makes the running backs job look easy. I have to agree with most everyone else, Lee's skill players are misused. However don't sell our skill players short, I wouldn't trade em for Lee's. By the way our lineman did some great blocking tonight. And how about that defense! They have given up an avg. of 9.4 pts a game. Does anyone else around here have a better avg after 5 games? Just askin....... :)

We talked about that in the stands, #4 was really drawing the D in and just delivering the ball at the right time.
Great game all around, just those pesky T/Os we have to polish up.

I'm just sick of seeing this group of athletes being wasted.

They could have scored 21 points just by calling a Hail Mary every play for crying out loud.

They used to tell Richardson to go deep and chunk it to him in double coverage all the time when he was a sophomore...worked more times than  not.

Certainly would have worked with Landry and Richardson tonight.  The one time Landry went deep, he was running wide open 5 yards behind everyone.  Landry and Richardson are both taller, faster, quicker and can jump higher than anyone in BH's secondary.

They should be testing them every other play.

Instead they try to get into a game of execution.  Going to get drilled by BH if you try to out-execute them.  Lee just can't execute a dink and dunk, precision passing offense.  Don't have the discipline to do it without making a mistake.

It's like they have a couple of Randy Mosses, but they want them to run Wayne Chrebet routes.

Obviously not as talented as Randy Moss, but it's an analogy.
Just send them deep man.  Get down the field and I'll chunk it as far as I can and you go and outjump and outrun that guy covering you because you are 5 inches taller and have about 10 inches on him in vertical leap.

Quit all the punting too.  You are probably netting 15 yards a punt this year.  You can't stop anyone from going 65 yards any more than you can 50.  I almost feel like he thinks so far inside the box that he doesn't realize that he can go for it on 4th.  Someone needs to mention it to him that it is an option, maybe it hasn't dawned on him.  If he actually considers it and decides not to, that's even worse.  No excuse for not going for it at the 50 on 4th and 2 with this abomination of a defense.

The two best offensive RB's, led the Hill and each of them only scored one touchdown.  The Hill scored 7 touchdowns in the game and all seven were by different players.  GREAT blocking, AGAIN, by #20 on the big plays for the Eagles and excellent job by QB in leading The Hill throughout the game.  #8 and #20 led the BH running game and I'm pretty confident that with the duo of Duke and Newk and Denny at QB, the Eagles are destined for a very bright and long playoff run this year.

The final game stats for The Hill are:

Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill

Passing

Name Comp Att Pct Yds TD INT
Kaleb Denny 2 for 8 with 44 yards and 1 TD.

Rushing
Wade Duke 10 Attempts for 97 yards and 1 TD
Tyler Newcomb 10 Attempts for 71 yards and 1 TD
Clay McDonald 6 Attempts for 27 yards and 1 TD
Landon Jacobson 5 Attempts for 15 yards and 1 TD
E.J. Willey 2 Attempts for 22 yards and 1 TD
Nickolas O'Neal 5 Attempts for 35 yards and 1 TD
Richey Pearson 2 Attempts for 35 yards and 1 TD

Season Stats - ALL PURPOSE
Newcomb 474 Yards
Duke 394 Yards
Pearson 205 yards
Denny 166 yards

Touchdowns
Duke 6
Denny 6
Newcomb 5
Pearson 2

Panama.....I feel your pain. I graduated from Lee back in the early 80's.......just not the same school in any fashion. I have gone on record saying I do not think Lee will even exist in 5 or 6 years. Sad to say but I believe it. A lot of history and tradition down the tubes.

As for this years team, good athletes that are being let down by bad coaching.....or lack of coaching....take your pick.

Shoulda held firm on not coming back to watch this garbage

Dude hasn't been able to get the kickoff past the 25 allgame yet we still line uP at the 5

It's borderline criminal hOw misused Landry is
He could be an all state type receiver in a good system
They throw t deeP on the last play and make it look easy for a 50 yard gain.
I just dint get t
These guys are nOt near tall enough or athletic enough to keep Landry randle Richardson or Gomez from catching jump balls on the fade

The coach just doesn't have a clue
Those are called pooch kicks for a reason dude :P
