BR360 did I  mention I am not working so keep making those paychecks, I like your spunk but you are no contest in athletics trust me.  Tell  your bro I have not forgotten about trying to get him some equipment and will continue to try and help them out.

I'll put you up against my brother any day of the week and twice on Sunday. He just turned 40 and can still bench over 300 lbs and in the spring was timed 4.7 in the forty on grass.

At his birthday party Coach Williams (former LC-M head coach) told a story about my brother knocking out the TE for the other team (TE was 6'2, 230 lbs).

As for me, I'm sure you were much better. I do like looking at my paychecks, my retirement and bank account. Then I can't ask for a better schedule as I work 3, 12 hrs shift a week for being full-time. There aren't too many people have 4 days off a week.

I know the schedule of a high school coach and they put in 60-70 hrs a week during the season.  ;)

I'll deliver the message as in his position he can't really post on message boards. He has kids from BC, Vidor, Vinton, WO-S and LC-M who attend his church. If he posted he could easily hurt someone's feelings. However, he has and does view the site from time to time.

There seems to be a little bit of friction between some members of the print media and Coach Woodard these days.

i dont think Ray can handle being criticized

Usualy when you win ....no criticism.  But at this level you can get criticised on picking your nose.  If you think that what is on this board is bad. You need to read the boards of bigger universities.  They dont pull punches at all.

If what you said is true, he has a long season ahead of him.  Especially if what Grad says is true about the print media.

IMO You can go two routes with answers....professional or sarcastic. Professional always is good.  Being sarcastic is fun to the speaker at the time it is said, and great win you are the top dog. But it always comes back to bite you in the backside later.

I choose sarcasim waaay to much. ;)  It is a blast to me when I get a zinger in.  But I do pay for it!

If your brother was timed in 4.7 in the 40 at 40 years old, he is faster still than Lamars starting running back.

Well, honestly he is the last person to tell me anything about himself. But, as he is very muscular so I asked what he was benching these days and he told me. Then, he said you'll never believe it but I was timed a few days ago (back in the spring) at 4.7. Community doesn't have a track so he was timed on the field.

Being the man he is, I believe him since he ran a 4.4 in college.

Why do you think I'm pretty sure he could take hipster any day of the week.  ;)

BTW, he was faster than any of them.  ;)

Well was this as Mcneese or Swt?  4.4 is hard to fathom as i only run 5.6.  Bench press 12oz.  But never on a Sunday.

It was at McNeese but he wasn't a RB there as he played CB for the Cowboys. Also hard to fathom, he ran a 10.7 100 meters. In HS, I worked out with him and he could bench 330 as a 17 year old.

So you only ran a 5.6 at Lamar? That is funny. Hope that is a coke you are lifting as you best not get behind the wheel drinking something else 12 oz.  ;D

Finally, I was saying he was faster than any RB's on the preseason or current roster. He would not have been faster than Branden Thomas or Jeremy Johnson.

Key word played.  Thanks for the memories. lol
[/quote]

Lamar has had about 10 years of being a pretty good team in the HISTORY of the football program so you probably played on a team that wasn't very good. "Thanks of the memories." LOL Was your team any good?

The McNeese team my brother was on made it to the I-AA (FCS) quarterfinals under Coach Bobby Keasler.

Please if you are going to reply do it by PM. Thanks.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
