It's time to put 2 halves together.I like what 'm seeing this year not turning the ball over w/fumbles.We have some work to shore up the edges on defense.Gotta get the ground game rollin.Pic-en Dayt because I believe 8)
You're right Liltex, just putting 2 quarters together isn't going to cut it. Got to put 4 full quarters together to get the job done. We had them on the ropes last night and just let it slip away from us. We should've sealed the deal. We tried something last night that just didn't work and that was to try to consume the ball from them. We not that type of team. We 're a scoring type of team. Need to stick to what we normally do. Like the old saying, "If it's not broken, don't try to fix it" lol

By who? I hope you are not going to say BH. If you base your opinion on these nondistict games, you have to consider the competition each team has played. If it was all about just starting 3-0, then Dayton would schedule some weaker teams too, but that's just not the case.
Remember last year Dayton was 0 and 3 and then demolished 19-4A winning each game by a margin of over 40 points.  Normalcy will return to the Hill on 9-23 as the Broncos stampede into the hearts of Eagle fans who really runs the show in football between the Trinity and the San Jancinto.
I just don't think 19-4A will be as weak this year, not as strong as 20-4A, but about 2 teams will make them earn it.

Hopefully the boys get it rolling this week.  Nice to see McBride and Jakari back so the offense is getting to full strength.  Looking for Jakari to turn it on this week.  Like Liltex said....gotta get it rolling for 4 quarters.
Definitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dayton's got to get more players involved w/scoring.Adding up the 2 games A.Herrera rushing/passing has accounted for all the td pts rush/pass=42 pts,Carranco w/3 fg's+5 pats=14 points and that my friends is everything we've scored=56 tot pts.Scoring quick does not give rest to the defense,we gotta get some long time consuming drives and finish off opponents esp.in the last qtr.Had same problem early last year except fumbles killed drives. At end of 3 we led Ike/Angelton last year.4 qrs.baby,4 qtrs. ;)

The presence of a running game will do that.

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
