275? Dang!  :o It will be a HUGE transition from 8th grade football to varsity ball for him, especially playing offensive tackle and the technique he will have to play. May be easier to plug him in at D tackle and let him eat up space.

I hope you are wrong too. You must have been a great athlete...I mean you must have serious expertise to bash a kid you probably don't know. I hope the young man is very successful and earns 1st team all district so you can go apologize to his face.
