His hat has looked like that and he has used the same motion, as far as going to his hat, for every team he has ever played for. It is just part of his routine before he makes a pitch much like the way most hitters have their little quirks before stepping into the box.

Is this a joke? He's been pitching since 02 and every hat has been covered. It's what he does.. It's rosin. Rosin dries sweat, if you think that has anything to do with him being dominant.. Then you know nothing about baseball. lol No one has ever mentioned his hat before, the Yankees won't have his hat checked because they know better.
