As was announced on KFDM Channel 6's Sports Xtra last night, here are the SETXsports.com Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for Week 8:

[b]Offense - David Green, QB, Beaumont Ozen[/b]

Green was brilliant in the Panthers' near upset of Port Neches-Groves on Saturday, racking up huge numbers in the 49-42 double overtime loss to the Indians.  Green completed 19 of 33 passes for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He added 105 yards and 2 more touchdowns on 19 carries for the Panthers.  That's right, 414 total yards and 6 touchdowns on the night.

[b]Defense - Ethan Clark, DB, Buna[/b]

Clark had 4 tackles and 2 interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns in Buna's 55-7 rout of Kountze.  Clark took one interception to the house from 46 yards out and returned the other 38 yards!

great game tre green. keep slanging that thang around the field. glad to see him (ozen) chopping up png def. to the sum of six touchdown. he is a junior so that means bmt will have two great qbs  a juniior and senior next year. look out memorial titans's singleton cause you have competition from the qb's of bmt. all three can run, throw, and lead so it should be great to watch.

Green will definately be one of the top 3 QB's next year. He has my vote for #1.

Not sure the Ozen OLine did him any favors. He made most of his throws on the run because of breakdowns by the OLine and he did a great job of improvising.
