Dayton slips into Chronicle Rankings

Trust me, Montgomery is exactly where they should be.  They are very good.  I picked them to win the region in D1 and after playing them, I remember why.

I'd like to see #1 and #2 play... won't happen..... but IMO that's the #1 defense vs. the #1 offense in the houston area.

Not really...  We were up on Montgomery by 13 with 2 secs left.  The last play of the game, Dobbins was wrapped up for about a 10 yard loss and somehow escaped down the sideline for a 59 yard TD as time expired.  Then they went for 2 to make the score look a little better.  They hung the first half but our D completely shut them down in the 2nd

At halftime we were only up 6. (we blocked their first PAT, so they kept going for 2 and we kept stopping them.)

Closest we'll get to seeing that, is comparing how both teams do against Stratford.  (since we both play them) Friendswood beat them by 10, and we play them 11/4, so we'll how that goes.

Humble wouldn't be able to see Montgomery until the later rounds.  We beat huntsville therefore win the #1 DI seed.  We get stratford.

That's where they got about 85% of their offense.  All of their points came in the first half too. (except the 59 yd TD they scored with 2 secs left) They had 339 total, when we were only giving up 107 per game.  I would say the best offense in region 3 belongs to them or Friendswood.  I'm not the only one that thinks that....  Check the Brenham vs Montgomery thread, 2 or 3 Montgomery fans said the same thing.  ;)
