Well hope now that the series is in the motherland that the Yanks can hit the bloody ball. Cliff is going to be tough but so is Andy P hopefully. I think this is going to go six or seven but we shall see.

Young had a great at bat the hitter before hamilton, fighting back from 0-2 to single after an 11 pitch at-bat.  the hr hamilton hit looked like he hit it off the end of the bat... he has some serious strength!  25 pitches for petitte in the 1st!

Tough call for a third strike against Molina, but that's ok if they are going to give that pitch to Lee.

AP is pitching pretty good to. Bullets the kid they gave up for Lee Smoke any good? You know any other of the players they gave up?

Smoak is a highly thought of prospect.  They had Moreland behind him, so he was expendable, but I know they wanted to keep him.

smoak has the potential to be very good.  i thought it was funny that he came into arlington at the end of the year after the trade and homered in all 3 games of the series against his old team :)

great job to get out of it.  only scary thing is his pitch count is at 97.  i don't think the rangers are going to be able to ride him for a full 9 tonight, and the bullpen has been shaky.  very shaky.

These guys today make such a big deal about pitch count. Heard today that Bob Gibson use to throw anywhere from 185 to 200 pitchers a game. He said todays pitchers "are out of shape" and need to go longer. Love Gibby bc hit a homer off of him and next time up chin music.

if i'm washington, i ride his arm as long as i can.  120 pitches, 130 pitches as long as he's still getting outs... this is a must win, and he probably won't be a ranger next year anyway, so who cares if you wear his arm down.
