no offence gcm, but big ned wins this 1 in straight games behind bellow and laird, laird would be the number 1 on any team in this district behind bellow of ned and hester of vidor

None taken.

We know what's in front of us. Does not mean we will just hand it to them.

Big Ned to much for GCM. I think 20/4A to much for 19/4A to be honest with you. I dont know if I would put Laird above Sweetenham from PN-G. He pitched a pretty stout game 1, of Mid County madness. I wouldnt leave him out of that group.

laird will prob pitch first game.  i would save bellow to finish it or tie it up.

Why wouldn't you lead a series with your #1?  I realize that 19/4A may not be as strong as "the 20", but the boys from GCM should not be under estimated.  They have some pretty impressive sticks.

Even though Bellow is our #1, Laird is undefeated, so our coach has the luxury of pitching Laird first and pitching Bellow to win....hopefully. It really doesn't matter to me who pitches the 1st game. Let's not forget our offense. Nederland's bats will win it for whoever is pitching.

Good luck to both teams.

Either way Ned needs at least 2 starting pitchers. They have to play 2 games at least so it doesn't matter who pitches game one or two. Its Laird's turn in the rotation so you start him and keep Bellow on his usual Friday start. I don't see how this matters at all?

Nederland & all of 20-4A got a pretty good wake up call from last nights results. Hopefully this will work to their advantage the next few days. 4th place teams have taken down the champs before, so don't chalk any wins or losses until the fat lady has sung.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
