PURPLE 4EVER
Dayton might just have the best group of freshmen east of Houston.Future looks really bright for Bronco land, a lot of these key freshmen are getting a lot of extra practice with the extra weeks of playoff games. riverhorn
Refugio has a freshman RB/DB name Draigon Silvas, who is Willie Mac Garza's (HS hall of famer, UT Star and Tennessee DB's coach) nephew and he is a spitting image on and off the field. This kid is as quick as any freshman I have ever witnessed, breaks tackles for a smallish guy and holds onto the ball. On defense, he will knock your man part off.He opened up the game in the second quarter last nigh on a fourth and one when he broke a 61 yard touchdown run agains Blanco. He has 800 or so yards on the year and would have many, many more if he played for a team which wasn't so loaded as Refugio. He had 123 yards last night on 10 carries. oldrock
Nobody even came close to Dayton's Freshmen this year. Even Friendswood and Nederland went home with big losses to Dayton. Barbers Hill is the only program that even came close in the last 2 years. Going back to their 7th grade year they have only lost 2 games (both to Barbers Hill) they have averaged scoring 38 points per game while only giving up an average of 8 points per game. This includes 2 undefeated seasons. Also the Freshman B team was just as impressive during that stretch.

coach bear
There is a freshman from Baytown Sterling named Jamar Gibson who started at safety for the Rangers. He is 6' 2" 200 pounds, fast, probably a 4.55-4.6. His older brother starts for Kilgore at guard, but Jamar is a SKILL player. He played a lot of receiver also, probably had over 20 receptions in limited action. He was voted to 2nd team all district safety in a district where there is a lot of competition at skill position. Oh yeah, he is a great kid, yes sir and no sir. I wish there were more of him.
