I agree Gman.  Teams histories don't matter outside MidCounty but 5 rings, 8 title game appearences and the last unified 4A state champ.  Any coach has a mountain of Tradition to live up to when applying for the LM job.....

How many skewls can say they go through coaches like LM does now?
[/quote]Hard to replace the great ones we have had.How many have the cowboys had after Tom Landry.Everybody can't coach at LM just like anyother school that demands a winner.PNG fired one of there own because he couldn't win  it all.And it looks like they found a good one.LM is not paying chicken feed.We are paying a lot and we expect alot.

Hey if you don not want the congrats then let one of the other fans have it. I was saying congrats to you guys for being in the playoffs and winning against Lamarque.

Dare you say! We accept your congrats without letting it cause us to say something that would be frowned on by the great independent one! Dare I say!

Friendswood usually has a good team and makes the playoffs. But La Marque is a true powerhouse program with a great winning tradition. In the Houston-Beaumont area no program compares to La Marque. West Orange Stark is second. La Marque has the State titles and WOS has State tiltles and one of the highest winning percentages in Texas Highschool football history. Hull-Daisetta also has one of the highest winning percentages in Texas Highschool football history, along with State titles.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
