I have to say I just don't see how you justify ranking Dayton with 2 losses over Friendswood with 3 and Crosby with 2? Swap Dayton and Central! And Yates is way over ranked. Who do they play in that district?

Central should be ranked higher than that.... at this point. Like... right behind PNG... or maybe ahead, considering how strong their schedule is.

O well..We should be use to the low rankings by now..

As long as We continue to roll i dont care were they rank us..Maybe it makes the boys play harderd to crack the top 10..in this case top 25

Gotta love Soulja!  If you wont say it I will.  These rankings are just a bit rediculous.  Central is most assuredly a top 20 if not top 15 team.  How can anyone rank Dayton ahead of Crosby.  Crosby throttles them 28-0 (that's Purple 4 Ever's language), both have identicle records and one of Crosby's losses is to a top 10 team.  Why do we even play games.  Lets just rank the teams an award a state title.  All this color and mascot art doesn't make up for weak analysis and thinking when putting these rankings together.  And Dave Campbell's is even worse than this one.

We all know rankings are [glow=red,2,300]trash[/glow]. We are talking about kids who can have a bad game because their girlfriend didin't talk to them at lunch. We just like to see our teams recognized but all in all, its junk. we will know in about 6 or 7 weeks who is best.

That said PNG should make a run, as well as Central.

Birdville is ranked way too high....They only have one team in their district that's legit (Aledo).  They have had one of the easiest schedules in the state!

What? No GCM love? 6-3 with all three losses to ranked teams. (Dawson, Dayton and Crosby)

That's gotta count for something! ;) We are the best 6-3 team in the area! ;) With some breaks, were 9-0 baby!

Could care less about rankings.I'll say this about Dayton this year-The 07-08 Broncos lost big early to Friendswood and went deep both years Semi/Finals in Div 2.This years team lost by 3.Friendswood stayed close to Angleton without Their best RB A.Cole.Broncos held Friendswood to 110 yds.rushing on 39 att=2.82 yds.per carry.Bronco "D" allowing 112.3 rush per gm-118.8 pass per gm.My bet is not on the polls but Dayton will be in the hunt in 09 to the Quarter Finals.I like when folks underestimate just how quick we can score.At least the SETX coaches will not deliberately run up the scores.Other areas and alot of the high ranked teams do it regularly and it gets the pollsters/media watering at the mouth.In the past weeksmore than half the top 10 teams that were picked to win-LOST.They should print polls on cheap toilet paper.
