LCM appears to be for real. They played WOS a tougher game than Nederland did. 20-4A is going to be wild. I wouldn't count anyone out.

what you saying is that MCM could be for 7th and 8th place in district?

Nothing would surprise me. Seriously, what I am saying is this district will be tougher top to bottom than any year I remember. Any team could be beat on any night.

Hey how has livingston done first two weeks?

And LCM has more sophs on varsity than WO-S does

LOL...LCM has more of everybody on varsity than WOS does.  I was merely commenting that it is strange for WOS to have sophomores playing on varsity, and especially that many.

WO-S has got to learn to put teams away. Score should have been much worse. Why do we go to the extra pitches and "trick" type plays when the basics were working? We could have run the ball and gone deep all night. Franks head just seems to be gone. Effort to recover botched punt seemed very lazy.He even passed up a sure pick just to get a big unneccessary lick on an LC-M receiver.Good game Bears....but not ready for showtime yet!!!!

i agree with the comment, wos has got to learn to put teams away.  but in saying that i give credit to the bears also, they played hard and gave a good effort.  that #2 for lcm stood out imo.  i think wos will be fine, its only the second game of the season and these non-district games are helping them prepare for district.

WOS returns to 40 yard line. Set up shop. 1st down, WOS pass deep for incomplete. Franks wide open. 2nd and ten, QB run for 4 yards, 3rd down, WOS runs to 46 of LCM for 1st down. WOS get 1st first down. WOS hand off to Lindsey for two yards. 2nd down to Haynes for 1st down, to 34 or 10 yard gain. WOS gets 2 first down. WOS from 34 pitch to Lindsey for 14 yards. WOS on 1st down, down to ten. Close for 1st down. WOS have had little trouble themselves. WOS touchdown by J. Franks(Texas Tech bound) scores as the QB. Extra point is good. 7 to 7 after both teams have their first series.

TULSA 17 Tulane 0 1st quarter 1:44 left.

Isn't it Trey Franks and isn't he Oklahoma bound?

Congrats to the Bears on a well played game. Now we or at least I can start pulling for you to win each week. I thought LCM had a few players stand out, 10,11, and 2 for sure. 3 came in the game late, if I'm not mistaken they said it was Casey Burleigh, my guess is that young man will get more playing time. For WOS, I thought 43 Lindsey and 18 Roberts were the most impressive. Roberts looked to be as fast as anyone we have as far as speed in pads go.

Anyway, it was a good game and glad my Mustangs came out on top. Also glad to see that Coach has LCM headed in the right direction.

who would have thought that, this year, WOS would be a "ONE MAN TEAM".  that "one man"  would be 5`-0  tall and about 120 lb`s.  oh yes, he is just a sophomore.  after # 43 had gained 160 yards,  LCM  finally figured out how to stop him.  you just pick him up.

He is a good football player and a good kid. Calling him a one man show is a bit of an exaggeration. Kinda like calling the Titanic a little boat.

It was a good game and a great one to listen to on KOGT, WOS has a great team, and LCM hung in there and played well. Obviously LCM will just build on this and continue to get better. WOS needs to bring a STAR back down to earth,

I heard #20 for LCM on defense all night, not sure of his name. Hunter is also a great player and will get better.

Future looks very bright for the Bears....

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
