silsbee hit the ball well, but throwing errors doom them. the lead off hitter for silsbee is a real leadoff hitter, i think it was kelly as he went 3-4. jenkins the lefty for silsbee will be force to reckon with down the road.

bc was patient early which produced some base runners. luke rhodes had a key hit with bases loaded and a 2 out 0-2 pitch.

hicks was touched for some hits but made another great defensive play with runners on corner as he came off the mound to catch a foul ball.

Kelly is the only senior on the Tiger team. He is definetly their leader. Everyone else on the team are freshman and soph. They will be a force in a couple of years.

Hicks 11 K's

Puts him at about 84 on the year

Make it 88 with his 15 K's tonight....

Still behind... ;)

I thought about that. What was your mark?

What happened to the tall left handed player (Skinner I think), I thought he was a senior this yr?

Wanted to concentrate on playing football at RICE.

For a kid that was 6'4"+ and a lanky lefthander he had the makings to go somewhere as a pitcher no dought, I had heard last yr he was taking hitting lessons>go figure, IMO it wouldn't have took much to be a prospect on the mound...

Jenkins is working hard and will be a force. Did he start the first game for Silsbee in BC?
