Hats off to Smesny. He got stronger as the game went on and really shut GP down. This is going to be one interesting race down the stretch.

Smesny did get stronger--with 10 Ks in the last 5 innings and striking out the side in the 7th.

The most impressive thing was the Dayton defense. They played great and it appears the bats are waking up. This could get interesting.
