Nijel Daw (RB/secondary)

Keith O'Neal (RB/KR)

Brenan Jackson(Backup Qb)

Jacoby Hale (LB)

Second year under the new offense.  Should be a lot more wrinkles and tweeks.  Looking forward to our Offense being more potent.

We've also got the best Center in the district coming back...Sterling Cantue!  We've got a gang of WR's and lookout for Kewon Alfred...DL...he's a beast!

Yea really....even losing some of our starters, we will not lose to SA..we creamed them this year! Please! We will have a solid team coming in this next year. Young players will step it up! Watch out for those Wildcats!!!

All of this cockyness will get you the same place you were this year.  Losing where it matters most.  Karma is a mo fo and you got it this year.

How is it cockiness when someone states the facts that Kville throttled SA this yr with a running clock in the 2nd half?  SA has a lot of work in getting a new coach with a new system, and having the players adjust to that system.  That being said, Kirbyville will still have a VERY good running game and I don't see much change next yr.

Kirbyville is losing like 10 starters on Offense and like 9 starters on defense and probably half the coaching staff!  other than that they look pretty good!!   :'(

Settle down Rykerx144.  Last year is over, so don't look back... look ahead:   Returning Offense:  All-District Center, Dustin West; Second Team All-District Guard, Dillon Peel; Newcomer of The Year, RB, LeFredrick Ford; Returning Co-Starter, FB, JaMichael Ervine;  Fred Rhodes, RB, talk is he will be back;   Good young linemen to fill the gaps;  QB position will end up being good; 2nd TE, Chris Ezidore, currently takes over at the position;  Stefan Jackson, will figure in somewhere on offense;  Justin Keene will be a really good WR.

The Cats will still be able to score as always.

Good chance Coach Alvarez will leave. He has applied for other jobs.

Yea i don't see Alverez back.

Even if he don't go to one of the openings this year, he is a good coach and will land something bigger eventually. Kirbyville will still be ok as long as they can stay in 2A. We were in the same situation when we went from 5A to 4A. Call it what you want but our enrollment has went down and we are closer in numbers to the other 4A schools(Lumberton, Vidor , etc.).

He ha applied for jobs for about 3-4 yrs in a row now, but I am sure that he wants it to be the RIGHT job for him.  Schools have even been after him but he continued to saty where he is.  If he doesn't leave this yr I see him staying put for quite a while.  This is the yr to get that job he wants.  IMO

You don't see much change next year?  Does that mean that you expect the Wildcats to play for a state championship again in 2009?

Vidor will challenge for district they will have like 18 returning senior starters next year.  and LCM has all those sophomores...plus who knows how many players will come back now that their coach is gone.  every offensive skill position is back as well as 2 linemen.  and all the starting dbacks were sophomores.  the dbacks really showed up the last 4 games.  i bet they win 5-7 games next year it depends on the coach

LCM is gonna show up next year. The only starters we will be missing is 3 on the line. The rest are all gonna be juniors and one sophmore. Secondary should be pretty strong, don't know about the d-line and backers yet though.

good job bojofootball you took what i said, changed the words and put it down.  smooth.  and at linebacker, im thinking a certain will-be sophomore should do better than any of this year's linebackers.

Come on tiggervoice ;D  Don't start putting words in my mouth...We were talking about the SA/Kville game next yr...don't take things out of context...however, i do think that kville will make the playoffs but to go to the championship game is streaching it a bit don't you think?...i support them 100% and hope they make a good run at it!

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history.
