chs90
Central and Lockhart are tied 7-7 at halftime of a Class 4A Division II area round playoff game at Jack Hughes Stadium in Katy. Lockhart opened to a 7-0 lead, but Central's Charlie Thomas evened the score with a 18-yard touchdown run on which he tiptoed down the sideline. Central forced two straight three-and-outs and chipped its way down the field to the Lockhart 25 but lost the ball on an interception with 50 seconds left in the half. Central has two turnovers, the other being a fumble after Lockhart's game-opening touchdown. Central has 130 rushing yards. Lockhart has 85 rushing yards, 75 of which are Dominique Hardaway. The Central band is on the field, and the fans on the Lockhart side are bobbing their heads to the beat.

chs90
A touchdown and a two-point play cut Central's lead to 24-21 with 3:21 left. The Jaguars could use a clock-eating drive right now to secure the victory.

chs90
Lockhart called time outs after the last two Central runs, and there's 3:09 left. If Central gets a first down on a third-and-5 play right now, it can run off a lot of time on the clock.
