This should be a very good game, Buna has a lot of very good ball players, But I have to go with Silsbee on this one 6-3

Lots of Buna doubters out there.  We will more than hold our own.  Pitching will be strong.  Gotta get the sticks going with 3 starters back from basketball less than a week, still shaking some dust off.  Plenty of underclassmen trying to make names for themselves starting tomorrow night.  Should be a great game, come on out to The Diamond.

They should have been, at the very least, working out (practicing) with the baseball team the last several weeks.  I can see not quitting till the season is complete, but really, no need for basketball practice, when you have so much potential, and so much riding on this years baseball team...

The three basketball players were not allowed to step on the baseball field until basketball season was totally complete. School rule wouldn allow it, so they got there first practice wed. So they got four school days to get in baseball mode. All three made a good transition and played well. Good luck to both teams in the remainder of the season
