La Porte 2. Beaumont United 3. Lufkin 4. Port Arthur I think BU finally beats PA this year. Wanna revisit this or no?? ☕ Quote

LP 8-0 PAM 7-1 BWB 5-3 BU 4-4 Lufkin 4-4 RSS 3-5 GCM 3-5 NC 2-6 GB 0-8 Key Games from my perspective: Lufkin @ GCM, BWB @ Lufkin, RSS @ BU. Since Lufkin is the exact middle, their next 2 games are key to two PO spots. As guesses right now to base the standings on, I have: LP, PAM & BWB winning out. BU win vs RSS. Losses vs LP & PAM. Lufkin win vs GCM. Losses vs BWB & LP. RSS losses vs PAM & BU GCM win vs GB. Losses vs Lufkin. NC loses out. GB loses out. ***The BIG one! It would be hilarious if BU misses the playoffs but Lufkin makes it. 😁 I wouldn't mind that happening now that I think about it, long as it doesn't involve Port Arthur Memorial losing again. Lufkin's big loss to BU really left them in a bad position. They can make up for it--without having to worry about their final game against LP--if they can find a way to beat BWB by 18 or more. They also have to hope BU loses to LP & PAM. Obviously, no wins are guaranteed for anyone. Quote

Getting a first round game at home isn't going to make much of a difference. 11-5A & 12-5A are still too much in the air to really project Area matchups/easier paths. But, no path in Region 3 is going to be 'easy'. Then, SV is just steamrolling folks. Quote

They would have a tougher time with a team like LP that has multiple D1's to defend, and can run or pass effectively with either. LP's D is getting back into shape now that most of the young men are returning to their positions, and other tweaks have been made. Long way to go though. Quote
