These will be the football districts that we will cover here for the 2026 and 2027 seasons:

10-5A DII (Baytown Lee, Dayton, Galena Park, Nederland, PN-G, Santa Fe, Texas City)

9-4A DI (Bridge City, Huffman, Liberty, Livingston, Lumberton, LC-M, Vidor)

10-4A DII (Hamshire-Fannett, Hardin-Jefferson, Jasper, Shepherd, Silsbee, WO-S)

9-3A DI (Crockett, Diboll, Fairfield, Huntington, Palestine Westwood, Trinity)

Ive been a follower of SETX Sports since probably the creation of this site. This site has followed Barbers Hill that whole time. Now that they reach 6A, SETX no longer follows them? Is West Chambers County no longer considered SE Texas? This garbage of its because of the district they're in is a poor excuse. I went to North Shore and our district has some of the best teams in the state and none of these teams are east of Harris County.

Barbers Hill can still be covered. Anyone can post threads about Barbers Hill. Schedule or game threads can be posted. We are not banning BH talk from the site.

We are just not covering the district they are now in. Not a single one of those schools besides BH have we ever covered here. One  coverage team in a district is simply not enough to warrant us covering the entire district. Have to draw the line somewhere.

You are incorrect about BH always have been covered here. The site started in 2005. I have been here since the start. We did not cover BH when we started the site. Didn't incorporate them in the coverage area until around 2007.

Our coverage policy has always been the same. It takes at minimum 3-4 core teams in a district for us to cover that district.
