Many anonymous accounts claiming to be MAGA yet pushing division in the conservative movement have been exposed as operating from India, Pakistan, and other nations. I was told my a friend of mine from India that they have influencing centers so to speak. They have 1000's of cheap phones in the center, all with different social media accounts and all can be controlled by a few people. They want to get something trending on social media they can make outrageous post, getting real people to respond, and it spreads like wildfire and begins to dominate and trend. 

Also, with a VPA installed, really no way to track location.
