Trump complained that the U.S. has too many holidays yet Congress has canceled 63 scheduled voting days including 9 this month. ⌛ Quote

Porter Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago 1 hour ago, baddog said: Why is he going after Hegseth? I know his congressional justification. Thomas Massie introduced articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth mainly over the U.S. military actions in Iran, accusing him of violating the War Powers Resolution of 1973. Massie filed eight articles, with the first three focused on the Iran conflict: starting hostilities without a congressional declaration of war, statutory authorization, or imminent threat to the U.S.; ignoring a bipartisan congressional resolution directing the removal of troops; and continuing the war past the 60- to 90-day limit in the War Powers Act. Other charges include failing to minimize civilian casualties—like a strike on an Iranian school that killed over 100 kids. Massie is a critic of unauthorized wars and executive overreach, says Congress has tried other remedies and Hegseth is now just ignoring the law. This fits Massie’s long-estanding libertarian view that only Congress can declare war. DCT 1 Quote

However, even though he entered congress after the attacks on Libya and the subsequent fubar in Benghazi, he could have brought articles of impeachment against Gates. Since he had Tea Party backing for his election, it stifle me as to why he did not. Quote

Donald Trump’s MAGA party currently holds a slim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, which gives MAGA legislative control alongside the senate. MAGA Mike has aligned closely with the white house wishes. “Speaker of the White House, MAGA Mike, shielded Pete, can I have another from impeachment. After a 5 WEEK vacation, the House suddenly takes off the rest of September. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Quote

He votes for constituents not for his party. The guy is a MIT graduate with 30 patents, very smart individual. Quote

There was a vote and his opponent won. I look at motive. He brings impeachment articles against Hegseth but not against Gates. I only wonder. Quote
