The three-judge panel took a close look at a lower court’s decision to enhance a defendant’s sentence due to “substantial interference with the administration of justice” during the Capitol attack. The catch? The appeals court deemed that the term “administration of justice” doesn’t cover Congress’s role in the electoral certification process.
