Oh didn’t know they were doing it that way.  So definitely favors Yates.  I would say the best three teams in the classification are FF, Argyle and Carter in no particular order.  If Yates doesn’t have to face any of them until the Finals, sets up a much easier path for the Lions.

Yes Sir it is possible that Faith Family vs Carter in the Regional Final, Paris might have a say in the Regional Semi- Final game against Carter (Paris beat Carter last year).

Argyle (Region 1) vs Faith Family (Region 2) in one State Semi-Final.

I would love to see Yates (Region 3) vs Stafford or LaMarque (Region 4) in the other State Semi-Final Game (game should be in or near Houston).

You’re right about Paris too.  No pushover.

This year teams won't have to worry about their winning percentage for the match-ups in The State Semi-Finals.  I like this format this year where Region 1 & 2 vs Region 3 & 4

If the rules are violated but you have friends in position of authority, the incident can get watered down or written as a misunderstanding. My favorite one is

"the incident was discussed between both parties privately and we will handle the incident internally the outcome will not be available to the public"

We will discuss the incident at the UIL Finals Party in San Antonio or at the next class reunion   lol

In today’s world everyone has a cell phone. If the infraction warranted UIL action I’m sure it would be levied. Once again playing by the rules apply s to everyone.

I’m 100% sure that Yates can get by HJ or HH.

I would also take the flip side of that coin. HJ or HH are both very capable of beating Yates this year. Both have solid clubs . In the past several years anyone who was honest with themselves in this region other than Silsbee knew they weren’t beating Yates. Do I think HJ or HH will beat Yates ? I have no idea but the gap has definitely closed.

Yates needs to focus on Sealy, Please remember your prediction, hopefully we will get an opportunity to discuss it later in the playoffs

I hope you are right but based on last night I don’t see it.

Last night was the worst I’ve seen either club look this year. Not making excuses for either club but they did both play late games on Friday night. HJ didn’t get to rest anyone because of a close game with HF. I wouldn’t base either clubs playoff chances on what we saw last night.

    • He actually had a pretty solid year for a sophomore starting in that district. I can assure you, it hasn't hurt his recruiting at all and that will only improve with the move back to the Wack.
    • If Crumedy eventually has bigger aspirations than being in Jasper, every aspect of the program will be looked at when someone interviews him for any job. He knows that. The mindset needs to be that any time someone wears a Jasper uniform, that they're doing everything they possibly can to win. It matters.
    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It's a poll but I could definitely see this as realistic.   From the article: Catholics in the United States have swung dramatically against President Biden in recent years, now boasting a significant statistical break towards his GOP challenger. Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
